About MV2
Multiverse was created at the dawn of Bukkit multiworld support. It has since then grown into a complete world management solution including special treatment of your nether worlds with NetherPortals.
In the second delivery of Multiverse, we've broken it up into several smaller plugins that are each feature packed but not bloated! Multiverse provides the easiest to use world management solution for your Minecraft server, big or small, and with great addons like Portals and NetherPortals, what's not to love!
Multiverse is back! Is your server, a Multiverse?
Multiverse-NetherPortals Features
- Allow a nether per real world!
- Let nether portals built in a world go to a specific world
- Custom World Scaling when using NetherPortals! (All types of worlds, normal, skylands and nether supported! Even Custom generators!)
What's an "Awesome Build"
You can think of this like Bukkit's RB system, but we don't want to create confusion, so instead of calling ours a Recommended Build also, we're going with "Awesome Build" or AB. Awesome Builds are ones that we've put some more testing into, and should be very stable. So go ahead! Go download the latest Multiverse-NetherPortals AB

I would like to know how to fix this as well. I would like the default Minecraft behavior so that every portal in the real world has it's own corresponding portal in the nether. Right now it doesn't matter which portal you enter in the real world, it takes you to the same portal in the nether, and when you exit that portal in the nether, it takes you to the first portal in the real world that was created.

RaesWolf May 03, 2012 at 21:04 UTC - 0 likesok so we have tried every way possible to make a nether for a different world other than the main. Every time we do it works fine. The problem is it does not save the environment type when the nether world is generated so everytime the server is restarted it changes the world environment from Nether to Normal.
This is very frustrating. can something be done about it?

It's not default behavior as far as I can find out. Nor am I able to change it, unless I'm missing something. I believe it's minecraft's behavior which Nether-Portal does not appear to alter.

I second that. I would like each nether portal to have it's own corresponding portal in the nether with separate locations. Isn't that the default behavior?

CarringtonPlus Apr 19, 2012 at 15:31 UTC - 0 likesI am having precisely the same issue as GaseousMaximus previously did. Players can go through a portal once or twice fine, but then start to get thrown out on the nether side. Relogging fixes the issue briefly. I'm receiving a player moved wrongly console error for some of these. This issue occurs only with nether portals.
