A Basic Mini-map
Commands:
- /map (Used to toggle the Mini-map on or off for yourself.)
Features:
- Customizable colors and transparency for every block ID
- Toggle on or off
Permissions:
- minimap.toggle
To install; Place minimap.jar in your server's plugin folder. On the first run, a default configuration will be made, and saved to the plugin's folder. To add/change a color, simply follow the format in this config, being: IDS.<blockID>.<red/green/blue/alpha> <0-255/0-255/0-255/0-255>. For the alpha channel, 0 is fully transparent and 255 is fully opaque.
So broken. Only says "/<command> [subcommand]". Please fix!
whenever i try to turn on the map it always says "/<command> [subcommand]" why is this

I have been looking for a plugin that has a minimap like Tekkit/Technic/Yogbox has and when I found this page, I went on and tested out the plugin but nothing came up (even though i have the Spout Plugin) and when I used the /map command to toggle it just in case, it just said "/<Command> [subcommand]". I really want to try this out. Please update to 1.4.6

The Spout Client is a Mod, that makes possible to add new animations, interfaces, textures, blocks etc. It saves all new textures etc. in the temorary memory. If a Server has the Spout-plugin, it's possible to install plugins that work like mods. This means, if the Server has Spout-plugin and the Player has the Spout-Client, the Server-owner can add Plugins with new blocks with own textures and more and you don't have to install new mods :) (sry, for my bad english)
Ok,bukkit server noob here, this plugin sounds interesting,I have my own working bukkit server with worldedit worldprotect and essentials running,im interested in adding this to my server but i do not know what it means by requires spout client for users and spout plugin for servers, can someone please help/explain?

This plugin has a lot of potential, and its a plugin iv been missing for a long time! I really hope you get the chance to hook this up with url type maps, that would simply be amazing! Anyways keep up the good work.
Works great on the latest dev build. Can't wait to be able to scale it! :)
Scalability is in the TODO list for the next update. Adding coordinates is a cinch, I'll toss an option for that in the next update as well. As far as lag, you can reduce this by having less unique colors. EG. the default congig has several shades of green/grey, that could feasibly be the same shade, which would exponentially speed up the render. The current render method uses gradients, so for data has to be sent for every unique color, every render. My hope is to get with the spout guys, and expand on texture-from-url functionality, which will drastically improve this plugin... keep an eye out for updates, glad you enjoy it!
P.S. Not sure why it would cause any lag while the map isnt displayed, as the render thread sleeps during this time... it may be something in the events, will look into this
i was looking for just somehting like that!! backuping and we ll be testing right away
real nice for first version !! there is a bit of lag, even with the map toggled off. The lag spikes when notifacations appear. We use Mobhealth so fighting get impossible ;)
I user thought immediatly it would be nice if it would also show the coordinates on top or somehting like that. Another aksed for a bigger part of the map to be shown as only the very near area is shown
I think this plugin is absolutly great :D
