MineCaster is an automatic announcement-system for Bukkit
MineCaster is an automatic Bukkit message announcer. The Plugin helps you to create repeating announcements on your Bukkit-server. These announcements can be in a random order or in the order specified in the configuration.
The messages can contain Color Codes and Formatting Codes. You can set the interval between the messages and the prefix in front of each announcement.
A very special feature are variables. You can put these variables in the configuration file and the plugin will automatically replace for example "$PlayerCount" with the actual number of players on the server. This feature is aviable since Version 0.3.
Another feature other announcement plugins don't include will be the support of group-based broadcasting. This feature can be used for broadcasting information only for mods or statistics for the server owner.

Solved it! The problem is that the MineCaster GUI opens on the hosting machine and you host your server through FPSBox so the server has no GUI. I will solve this in the next version but school and my other projects need a lot of time so the release will be this weekend.

c0dejunkie Mar 12, 2013 at 18:00 UTC - 0 likessome more info as requested by win32. OS is linux and it is running java 1.7. It is a hosted server through a company called FPSBox, and I do not know much more about the server itself. I am running a few plugins such as worldedit/worldgaurd, playerheads, buttonwarp, essentials, vault and a few other low impact ones to manage spawning chunks and floating trees. right now I am running the latest dev bukkit R1.1 build 2643. if there is anything else that you can think of needing then just let me know
