MaxEnchanting
MaxEnchanting
Description
When enchanting an item it's best to use as many levels as possible for the best effects. Finding this level requires you to put the item multiple times in the enchanting table (certainly for higher levels).
This plugin saves you this time by making the third option in the enchanting table your max enchanting level. It looks at your current level and the maximum possible enchanting level (based on the number of bookcases) and changes the third option in the enchanting table to the minimum of these two values.
This mod only affects the third option of the enchanting table, nothing else.
Examples
Enchanting table surrounded by the maximum number of bookcases
- Player level 37: third option is 37
- Player level 53: third option is 50
No bookcases around the enchanting table
- Player level 37: third option is 5
- Player level 3: third option is 3
Installation
Just put the MaxEnchanting.jar in your plugins folder, no configuration required.
If you're interested I've spent over a month making an enchantment mod, with far more functionality than than Max Enchanting.

It ensures that the levels made available to you are within the range of the player’s level and the minimum level required for a re-enchantment whenever possible. The third slot, show the highest level
possible (given the player's experience and number of bookshelves),
whilst the other two generate unique random values corresponding to lower costs.
Consequently you can always cycle through all options in 4 clicks or less.
Bookshelves within the range of enchantmentTable.blockY-1 and enchantmentTable.blockY+2 are detected, with a maximum of 40 bookshelves (not 30) taken.
E.g. A bow with power II
repaired with another bow with Flame I and Punch II becomes...
a bow with power I and punch I
E.g. Sharpness III is higher up than Bane of arthropods II, or Smite IV.
-All other enchantments keep their current levels.
If the mod is installed on the server, but the player doesn't have the client side installed, they will still be able to use almost all the features (except for selective reverse-enchanting and a cleaner interface).
In such a case the extra information, that the mod requires, will be relayed to them via chat message packets.
@Slicertje
Sorry for the late reply xD
Permissions would be just to use it.
I was bored so I made one with permissions about a hour after I asked that other question.
Its rather easy.

Permission is "maxenchant.enchant"
I decompiled your plugin however so there may be a bug. But I cant see it.
Also. Are you aware of items appearing as "Able to enchant" with the 3rd option even if they are not enchantable. When they click it they are kicked "Internal error"
Not a biggie but still.
This mod is pretty nice even if its simple
@libraryaddict
You can use it as you wish. The source is on github: https://github.com/Slicertje/MaxEnchanting/blob/master/src/com/stefaancolman/MaxEnchanting.java
It's very simple, I just maximized the minecraft level calculation and overwrote the last option.
How would you see permissions for this mod?
Can I have the source to look at for my own private use?
Not to release as another plugin
Thanks
Also can you consider adding permissions to your plugin :)
Thank you so much for this plugin! It is much appreciated. ^_^
