LiquidProtect

Features

LiquidProtect is a simple plugin that prevents people from placing water or lava if they don't have the permissions.

Permissions

water.use - lets the user place water.
lava.use - lets the user place lava.

Example situation

An example of how you could use this plugins is that you could make it so that your default rank or builder rank doesn't have the permissions, but when you are promoted to trusted, you get the permissions to place liquids because the server trusts you.

Known bugs

This only works for water/lava blocks, not buckets (having a little trouble fixing this.)

ItemStack stack = event.getPlayer().getItemInHand()

not

event.getItem()

Just a developer note, lava/water buckets are considered items not blocks. So in this code I setup a little example for you.

@EventHandler public void PlayerInteractUse(PlayerInteractEvent event){ Player p = event.getPlayer(); ItemStack stack = event.getItem(); if((event.getAction() == Action.RIGHT_CLICK_AIR || event.getAction() == Action.RIGHT_CLICK_BLOCK) && (stack != null)){ if(stack.getTypeId() == 326 && !hasPerms("water.use", p) && !event.getPlayer().isOp()){ event.setCancelled(true); p.sendMessage(ChatColor.RED+"You cannot do that!"); } } }

By the way don't copy and paste that code, that's an example. So you should be able to build on that. Anything above 256 is a item and anything below 256 is a block. Blocks and items are not always treated the same way.
