World Generation & Population

For this project, we want to. And are going to produce a world generation plugin that adds additional world types, (custom Skylands/Aether and Nether worlds)

We intend to have no time of day by default for both worlds (like in the nether). But may make it configurable.

Neither world will have flat bedrock at the lowest level, instead we intend to use Inception to teleport from 1 world to the other. (configurable though)

The World that Never Was (High-tech world, replace Skylands/Aether)

skyscrapers

  • Max size 8x6x20 (lxbxh)
  • Min size: 4x3x12
  • materials & structure:
    • (interior will be 100% stone, these features only apply to the exterior layer): 1 foor of stone brick then 2 floors of glowstone,
  • narrow, 2 wide pathways of stone slab between each skyscraper

Roads

  • Materials & structure:
    • Standard size 8 blocks wide stone road + 1 stone slab block as a footpath on either side.
  • Road intersect naturally, and have allyways thats are narrower (only 4 block wide).
  • buildings will start directly next to footpaths, naturally.

Fountains

  • These will scattered around, approximately every 10 street blocks
  • Provide quick transport between The World That Never Was and The End of the World.
  • structure and materials:
  • Each fountain will have an approx 3 block water radius with stone slab surrounding and a 2x2x6 pillar of glass and glowstone 2x2 where the water would have been.
  • Every fountain will be the same size.

Fountain Usage

  • Soon to come

Chests & Loot

  • Chests with single-item (but potentially stacked) loot will lieing around the place, side of road or in ally (rare ofcourse). Just like in KH.

Ores, Ravines & Natural Caverns

  • Ore veins and natural caverns will be much rarer in TWTNW.
    • Coal will have normal abundance.
  • They will not occur on the surface of buildings or roads.
  • May be found within buildings sometimes.
  • Glowstone will be included as an ore. (appearing at half the chance of iron)
  • Ravines will occur aswell, (frequency to be determined).

The End of the World (Low-tech world, replaces the Nether

Sub-terrain Tunnels (Floors 1-90)

  • The main portion of TWTNW will consist of natural netherrack tunnels (similar to natural caverns only made of netherrack)
  • These tunnels will lead to large (30x30) rooms scattered randomly (various heights too).
  • The tunnels will be light scarcely with glowstone on the walls every so often, but not enough light to prevent mob spawning.

Rooms (Swallowed Worlds)

  • These will contain random segments of the standard Minecraft world
    • all biomes, structures and features, including the swamp, desert, tropical islands, mountainous winter, villages, ravines, monster dungeons, strongholds and even rivers that bisect multiple biomes.
    • Less often containing segment the standard nether.
    • Rarely containing natural caverns and ores underground segments with ore viens
    • Very rarely, TWTNW will even appear
  • These segments not neccasarily neat, and have every chance of containing two biomes.
  • The segments will always be reachable from enterable via the tunnels and when moated by lava of water, stone bridges, with rails will connect to to solid ground.

The Upper Marshlands (upper 40 floors)

  • Will be mostly water (well, roughly 5-6 floors of water), with small, scattered islands of dirt and sand banks.

Baboa Trees

  • These will appear on most islands, with minimum 4x4 trunks, heights of 6-16 and roots that spread in a radius of up to 4 blocks away from the base (roots will still be logs)
  • There will be 3 species of these Baboa trees (all the same shape):
    • Apple Oak: have oak tree logs, which naturally drop apples.
    • Pumpkin Baboa: have redwood logs. each of these will have a pumpkin growing somewhere off the base.
    • Melon Baboa: Have birch tree logs. each of will have a melon growing somewhere off the base.

Fountains

  • The fountains in TEotW will appear at roughly the same pattern on the marsh islands above ground as they do in TWTNW.

Chests & Loot

  • As with TWTNW, chests with single-item loot will be scattered randomly, found in swallowed segements, tunnels and on islands in the marsh.
