InstaBreak
InstaBreak - Blocks dissolve instantly by your touch!
Version: 3.4 - CB 1.2.5-R1 (b2149)
This plugin is an update/revival of R3ality's InstaBreak 2.0 plugin from CB 1060. I kept the inner workings the same, but I cleaned up the code, updated it to the new Configuration and Events sytems, ditched code that was likely to break every update, and built upon the original.
Features:
Save inventory slots! - No need to carry multiple tools, the InstaBreak tool works on all* blocks
Save time! - Break any* block or placed item with one strike!
Break blocks from far away (ranged breaking)!
Super Perms support
Support for region/block protection plugins
Allow breaking of bedrock blocks*
Instantly kill most living things using the InstaBreak tool!
Allow the whole server to be in InstaBreak mode all the time!
In-game commands
- Change the InstaBreak tool to ANY type of block or item!
- Toggle InstaBreak mode for ANY player in the server!
- Toggle any setting in the configuration!
Note*: Except the bottom-most layer of bedrock (breaking that has been intentionally disabled)

All props to R3ality for bringing an awesome plugin to life!
@dasbreen
Thanks! I appreciate it.
@SgtScorpio
No promises on whether it will get added or not, or a time estimate of when to expect it. But I will certainly look into it when I get a chance
This works great even in 1.7.5 but is there any chance of getting a config option to allow the tools to take their normal damage when they break a block? I love mining fast but I also want to have to use some of my resources to rebuild the tools.
@WhosHenry
Grab v3.5.1 and let me know if it works for you. I was able to reproduce unable to break at ranged distances and fixed it.
@dasbreen
I have not tried just using this plugin as I have a load of others. I am using the latest recommended build of Bukkit.
@WhosHenry
I can try to look into it when I get home tonight, as I don't have access to all of my files where I am currently.
Have you tried with this as your only enabled plugin (other than permissions)?
Also what version number of Craftbukkit are you running?
I can't get the ranged breaking to work. I have the instabreak.ranged and the instabreak.config permission to true and I am an op.
Still no luck with getting it to work. I type /ib ranged and it says it's been set to ENABLED but it still doesn't work at range.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
@mal67
No one has told me otherwise, so I'll assume it is. I've stopped running my own server since 1.2 personally. If it errors, copy the error from your console or server.log into a http://pastebin.com link and post it here or in a ticket :)
so. is this is supposed to still work with 1.4.7?
@DiamondFreekzz
how exactly are you trying to change it? are you editing the config or using the command?
I think it needs updating as whenever I try to change the config file to a Diamond Pickaxe as the Tool instead of a torch, it doesn't work.
Im an idiot, you can slap me now ;D Thanks!
@Nistune1
I'm still around, I just haven't heard of any reports of it breaking with the CraftBukkit/1.3 updates. If it's not working let me know, but I've been busy IRL and haven't done any feature updates
Is this not being updated any more? Would have been perfect...none of the instant break plugins are being updated any more...
second suggestion is a way to turn it off in residences . ok im down now thanks for listening
looking forward to a 1.3
suggestion is there a way to make it so i can custom set blocks for it to ignore?
I really like it to ignore switches signs doors and other items i can set maybe even with a custom break time
Having a slight issue. It seems to ignore the spawn protection, and non-op users are able to destroy things in the spawn. Not sure if that's a bug, a feature, or something with my setup, would appreciate any help with it though, thanks!
@dasbreen:
Yeah that works too :D
@surfarcher
Not a bad idea, but how about instead they get a command (with it's own permission) that allows them to use it, if they have enough money, for 5 minutes or something? configurable, of course ^_^ (cost and duration)
