What is GothicCraft?
Hello, well you want to know something about GothicCraft? So, have you ever played any Gothic game? Maybe you imagined about game like Minecraft and Gothic? Yeah, this is it, and GothicCraft gives you the best part of fun from Gothic (especially Gothic II) in Minecraft! Ok, but what exactly does the plugin add? A lot of new features and a lot more is planned to be added!

Features
GothicCraft is really features rich to provide the best RPG experience :
- easy to setup and configure
- lightweight
- skills such as: strength, dexterity, mana, max health
- extra skills (for example: skyfall, using bow and many more)
- learn points system like in Gothic games
- not-just-a-boring quests system (with NPCs)
- well balanced leveling/experience system
- uses SQLite (MySQL support will be added in the future)
- database informations caching
- magic runes (so many already and even more to be added)
- simple API to do almost anything (for example: adding new runes, possibility to give experience (and anything else) to players)
- plugin unreleased yet and so many things to be added, got an idea - post it!
Release Informations
I have already released one Alpha version of this plugin, anyway it is crap and it lacks so much content. I am currently rewriting my plugin and it's going to be released with full power really soon! Also nice API will be added, so other developers can add new runes etc..

Posted Jul 29, 2014Project is still in development. Great solid update will be released some day ;) There is a lot of new content like better mobs, quests, NPCs, shrines and a lot of dungeon-like structures.

Posted Dec 5, 2013I ended up with shit code in that plugin. I am going to completly rewrite it, add nice API for developers and finish it! I should release first beta release in one month, might be earlier!

If you want you can make some logo for GothicCraft =] I would be very interested with that, because I do not draw to well.
According to GothicCraft release. I am adding more runes now, I added new abilities yesterday. Looks like it will be ready really soon. However I am going to release beta-version first, because I am not able to test everything.

Posted Feb 14, 2013I updated all my plugins last day, the only one is GothicCraft that requires more work (it is now something more than just skills). I am trying to change players' max health (it is possible with my latest idea :) ), if I finish that I will release update.

Posted Dec 26, 2012Good news ;> I am really busy now with plugin for someone, however I should finish it soon, I hope I will be free in one/two weeks, so I will continue GothicCraft and maybe even good release with runes, special abilities and more. Keep checking for updates in the new year!

Posted Dec 18, 2012I too loved gothic2, you should add scrolls, and runes like in the game, in such a way that only normal people can use scrolls, but if you master magic you can permanently use them through runes.
I just noticed you mentioned you are making runes, i would suggest you do what other plugins are doing which is adding a special name to the item with a description using the new anvil effect. If you are wondering what item to use as a rune, maybe try a brick, or iron/gold ingot as they cannot be placed or consumed, and they have a nice shape, probably the closest you are going to get to a rune.

I know, special abilities system is still in development, I am writing something called "stone-henge", it will be some kind of a building that let you create magic runes, learn extra abilities like a Archery. So, please wait, this is the FIRST Alpha release, you know guys, I have my own life, but it is winter now, so I can give it more time to write something cool. Please wait!
