GhastWars
Overview
THIS PROJECT IS DEPRECATED, USE MONSTER APOCALYPSE.

Ghast Wars is a mod for those seeking some extra challenge in their Minecraft experience. This spawns as many Ghasts as you like, as often as you like, in the overworld, similar to natural spawning. In addition, this makes Ghast bombs explode twice as strongly (rendering obsidian as your only absolute defense), leaving a fire and explosion immune silverfish in their wake. Team up with your friends, and fight for your life! Video and screenshots coming soon.
Download version 2.2.1 here, now with nightmare mode!: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/ghastwars/files/7-ghast-wars/
If you need to leave and save your nightmare mode wave, keep track of how many nightmare periods you've survived and put the result of this equation into your ghasts per player next time you load up, rounded to the nearest integer:
originalgpp*[(1.0+(nightmaremult))^wavessurvived]
config.yml
World Name: world # ghasts will only spawn on the world named here Ghasts per player: 6 # the number of ghast spawn attempts on each target Spawn extra Ghasts at night?: true # if enabled, uses the same algorithm as normal but ON TOP of the normal one with its own settings after the sun goes down. Spawn silverfish in explosions?: true # if enabled, ghast explosions have a chance to spawn silverfish. # While enabled, this plugin make silverfish immune to fire and explosion damage, # as well as making them explode on death :) Explosion radius (Edit carefully): 2 #The explosion power for ghasts, not recommended to change this Percent chance of spawning a Ghast: 10.0 # percent chance that one of the passes as set above will actually spawn Percent chance of spawning extra Ghasts at night: 10.0 # see above, night algorithm Percent chance of spawning a silverfish in an explosion: 33.0 Nightmare mode multiplier: 10.0 # % value to increase spawns per period, IE: mult 10.0 results in 100->110, 110->121, 121->133 Minimum spawn distance: 50 Maximum spawn distance: 90 # distance in blocks from the selected player to spawn Always spawn period: 120000 Night spawn period: 120000 # time between spawn runs, in milliseconds. Default 2 minutes. Nightmare mode period: 600000 # how often the average spawn number should be increased, default 10 minutes
This plugin is what I need however it is not working, I put everything right... Damn it people just delete old not working Plugins or make a new one.

played this plugin with no hostile mobs in the world except ghasts, silverfish, and creepers...
most fun i have ever had on minecraft!
i can't get this to work using multiverse build 419 and a terrain generator (terrain control).
i'm trying it on the world "hell" and nothing happens .-.
there are no errors and everything looks right.
the only thing i changed in the config file was the world name (to "hell") and explosion radius (to 4)
help?
Permissions support is not planned, mostly because I'm preoccupied with another, much larger plugin, which should be able to do the same things as this and a whoooooooooole lot more. I might get around to going back to this later, but I will definitely consider adding a permissions node to my future plugin.
Besides, since this kind of takes over the server atmosphere it's meant more to be run on a dedicated vanilla-ish world anyway.
Teaser: Ever wished you could completely rework mobs without client mods? :)
Can have permissions node to exclude spawning? Bukkit permissions API would be appreciated.
Dragons are extremely destructive and without a mod to lower their hp and make them killable, they will just eat the whole world while attacking you (blocks in their mouth are destroyed). Even with their HP modded it would just be too destructive. Try installing Essentials and use /spawnmob enderdragon 10.
if you make same plugin for dragons, its too fun
Throwing this on my test server. Really excited.
THIS MOD IS AWESOME!!! I TRIED IT OUT AND IT IS AWESOME!!! WOOTHOOT!!! 999999999 POINTS FOR U!
