If you have any questions please contact our support team https://support.curseforge.com.
EzBroadcast is a very lightweight broadcasting plugin, as the name suggests. It broadcasts messages to the server at a set interval of user's desire. Perfect for your server if you want a broadcasting plugin, but don't want to take up a lot of space.
Features:
- Broadcasts messages at a set interval.
- has two commands, /startbroadcast, and /stopbroadcast to start or stop messages.
- supports all color codes
- lightweight
To Do:
Nothing at the moment, suggestions are welcome.
Permission Nodes:
ezbroadcast.start - node to start broadcasting.
ezbroadcast.stop - node to stop broadcasting.
ChangeLog
v1.7 - updated to latest build, please post anything wrong.
v1.6 - Interval of broadcasts are now configurable to user's desire.
v1.5 - bug fixes and code cleanup
v1.4 - added permission nodes above.
v1.3 - first release, report any bugs found
Can you put it in the config so that you can change the color of the [BroadCast] prefix thing?
Can you make a /mode command? Like /mode chat would broadcast the messages on chat and /mode boss would broadcast them on a boss bar and /mode scoreboard would broadcast them on a scoreboard?
@ BrentonOBrien & JohnB
I am receiving the same error as John; at random and I am running the updated version.
Could you Make it support multiple Messages? Also Add more to the help file and make messages editable in config? And Make your Commands Work?
@smoothiex6
If you have essentials look at motd that's individual messages!
Hey I downloaded this plugin! I was wondering if there was a way to broadcast a certain message to individual players when they log onto the server?
Example:
blahblahblah joined the game. [Server] Welcome to the server! Here are others who are online: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Players: blah, blahblah, blahblahblah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please read the rules in the ender chest before you enter the world of Minecraft.
Updated, sorry for the recent inactivity, i've been busy irl. Thankyou for all suggestions and hopefully i can devote more time to this like I used to, and please post if anything goes wrong with the plugin.
@John__B
I ran broadcasts for about a 10 hour period and never got this error, hopefully the update eliminated it.
Please update to mc 1.3.1 / 1.3.2.
at random.. during 8 hours of play.
suggestion, if possible. a line to hide broadcasts from the server console?
nice and simple plugin... exactly what i was looking for minus one thing. I only about 5 messages i want to broadcast every.... idk... half hour. I think this plugin would be perfect if after it went thru the broadcasts in ur messages.txt file it restarted at the top and cycled thru all the broadcasts again.
@Toothpick Am I correct in assuming you mean e.g:
ez.broadcast.bypass
So like you cab disclude it from say Admins and staff that have no real reason to see broadcasts.
@levisn1
After putting the jar file into your plugins folder and running the server, create a new txt file inside the generated EzBroadcast folder and call it messages.txt, Then write your messages inside this file, each line will represent a different message. So what you write on line one is the first message and what you write on line two is the second.
Examples:
&1This is the first message.
&4This is the second message.
You are free to insert color codes as seen above for more asthetic appeal. Below is a link to all standard color codes.

how to insert messages? how to use? pls explain it better for niubs..thanks
New update, added ability to change the broadcast interval.
Dx I would get but...
@rmh4209
He means add a permission node so that those without the node will not hear/see the broadcast.
@TOOTHPlCK1
Elaborate please.
Do you think you could add a permission node to hear the broadcast?
added permissions.
