This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

DeathNotify version 0.1

PLEASE NOTE: If you don't want your items to get incinerated when you die, set 'lightning-fire-spread' under 'prevent:' in the Essentials config to true, if you have it. If you don't want Essentials, download a plugin that does this on its own. Otherwise, your items will be incinerated when you die. :D

About

I made this plugin because I felt there weren't very many customisable death notification plugins around. Originally, it was built for 1.2.5-R1.1, but updates will come as Minecraft and Bukkit update. This plugin will strike lightning and (eventually, not yet) broadcast a message to the server as to what happened. I might even add a config file with customisable events on death and custom death messages! But that's a long way off.

Commands

/dn enable: Enables the plugin.
/dn disable: Disables the plugin.

Let me know if you think of any more commands I can add.

Permissions

deathnotice.use: Required for any use of /dn.
deathnotice.enable: Required to use /dn enable.
deathnotice.disable: Required to use /dn disable.

As in, a config file where you specify a list of commands to be run on death, or a command and a database? The commands would have to be from the dead player's point of view (as in it would be them executing them). I could add certain pre-programmed features in the config though, such as if you specify -warp 'warpname' it would run it through the console rather than runnning the command as the dead user, as they would then have to have the correct perms. Would that be better?

Can you add a way to execute commands on death becouse I'd like to warp a player on death. If you could add that I'd be very glad!
