ChestHunt
Overview:
This plugin adds commands and functionality for making your players hunt for a chest when you want them to! There are many like it, but this one is unique because it marks the vague location of the chest on the players's maps!
Permissions:
ChestHunt.admin: Allows you to start a chesthunt or stop it.
ChestHunt.player: Allows you to join, leave, or win a chesthunt.
Commands:
/ChestHunt: shows help.
/ChestHunt join: Joins the chesthunt if active
/ChestHunt leave: Leaves the chesthunt if you are in it.
/ChestHunt start: Starts a chesthunt if you are standing on top of a chest.
/ChestHunt stop: Stops the chesthunt forcibly. This is the only command that can be used as console.
Installation:
Just drag and drop, then reload/restart and it should work!
Usage:
Stand on top of a chest and type /ChestHunt start.
Then anybody with the permission who does /ChestHunt join, will see a red square marking an area where the chest is, if that map shows where the chest is. It looks something like this:

But the map does not render more when you move closer to that marker, so you would need many new unused maps to check again and again if the square would be in the new map when you explore new areas :P

How do you win the game? By opening the chest? - By punching it.
Will it be informed globally in chat, when game starts, ends and who wins? - Yup :)
Do I have to fill the chest with the reward, or does this plugin do anything about it? - You've got to do it yourself.
If players are so far away, that they cannot see the red square, what then ? - That is in fact a problem right now which will probably be fixed shortly.
