Clanforge (a server host) will not even upload this plugin because it is not compatible with mc 1.4.7.
Are they smoking something or is it really to buggy to use as they claim?
Thanks!
PS Hope whatever issues are resolved soon. This is a very very useful plugin if it works. Thanks for developing it and (hopefully) maintaining it.

I'm currently developing a new plugin just like this but using the new Bukkit API. It will have all the features that this has plus more. :) http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/welcomebook/
Darn, any chance for an update or source so I can try to hack at it myself? :D
dev seems inactive such a shame.
Can not be used on CB145-R1.0 now...

Hello,
I'd like to start by saying - fantastic plugin! One of my favorites and an essential one to administrating my server and welcoming people to the server. However, I'd love if you could add support for multiple books; because rather than overwhelming my players with a huge book when they first join, it'd be cool if I could give them separate books so they can refer to one thing at a time.
Thank you, hum4ntank
WOW! Pretty good!! I‘ll write a command guide book ~
By the way, do you have a plan to develop a new function that convert TXT files to books? It’s a little inconvenient to change and reload config file all the time.... 囧rz......
I wanted to drop in and quickly profess my love to you. Everyone of the staff on my server is really impressed with this addon, as we've got plans to create an in game rule book, guides etc. Your work has become an integral part of my server and many people will benefit greatly from it.
Thank you. :)
+1 to the custom commands that's something I too would like.
Im willing to chip in some funds to motivate you if need be for the 2 features Ingame editing > save and the custom commands.
Us server owners are mostly not a rich bunch myself included but I really think with the above mentioned features this plugin will be some thing the whole community can use and is really easy to use. so its worth it.
Looks like a great, great plugin. But is there any way to have it so that you could write the book in-game and simply save it from there? It's really hard to write the book from my console because you have no clue how it'll look. Another suggestion would be to add a custom test that would say something like "please open this book to learn about our server" ... you get the point! Custom commands would be nice too. For example: /server info or /info would spawn you the book!
Yea a way to import existing books would be really handy Typing it out in the config can be really slow for strict formatting and Looks as you cant always 100% predict the outcome of what is in the Config. being able to edit it all in game would save a lot of time and make my job as server owner 10000 X I don't have a week of free time to right a huge long book when i need to reload the plugin and spawn the book 10 or more times per page.
Does /booktext spawn give you a saved book? I have books explaining certain plugins and commands and would like players to type a command to receive that book. Also, I wouldn't want them to spam the command filling up their inventory with books., having a cool-down would be awesome.
As requested before, a way to import already written books would be greatly appreciated!
@AJAW132
I'll donate $20 if you re-compile with JDK 6. No, I'll donate now for motivation?
@huntershenep
I think it does, I have got JDK 7 and it works fine.
Does this require JDK 7? I can't get this to work on my 1.4 server with JDK 6..
@AJAW132
Permissions plugins do not remove the file contents when they have an error they just shut the plugin down... and point out the Error as yours does now. if theirs don't delete the file why should yours?
Was more pissed at my self than the plugin for being derp iv been running the server since before bukkit I know far better than to forget ' around special char's in YML...
and one page does take hours when you have to fight with an annoying CP and spacing issues to format the INDEX page.
@RustyDagger
Sorry but that how bukkit works. I didn't code it to delete it, it does it itself when there is an YAML configuration error.
