What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?

I see there is a section for "Duration" on the AH's website interface, however it always remains empty and I see no where to able to set a Duration time.
I would like to see this implemented when Bidding goes in, and set on either a configure-able interval of time or a hard-coded amount of time on so many hours.

Personally I would like to see at least intervals of 12 hours and 24 hour durations for the AH, and a fee charged to have the item(s) hosted there for that long increase for the longer that it is there.

Example: $5 for 12 Hours, $10 for 24 hrs, $20 for 48 hrs.
(I do think that the fee prices need to be configurable, considering it is going to affect the way economies work and some servers may been to charge more or less based on that fact)

Please provide any additional information below.

Would be even better if it would check for an item amount, the more a player posted into one auction the higher the price would be. But if the player split say a stack of 10 into individual stacks of 1 for the AH it would still charge the same hosting fee if they had left it a complete stack.
