Recently our server outgrew the machine that was hosting us, so when we switched to a new machine our IP address changed and now everyone's votes are getting reset. Is there any way to fix this or some way of adding votes back to people's account in bulk? (some players are over 500 votes, so doing it one at a time for well over 8k votes is just not practical). Please help!
Ancient ticket, so probably long since resolved, but I see no reason a change of IP would cause it; it sounds far more likely that the vote data, which is in plugins/VoteRoulette/data wasn't copied to the new machine. For reference for anyone Googling, information on how many votes a player has cast (and their last vote, vote streak, and unclaimed rewards) is in YAML files named with their UUID - e.g. mine is plugins/VoteRoulette/data/playerdata/85d699cb-2177-4d53-8366-f2cdf9dc93cd.yml
I suspect this ticket can be closed :)
The vote data was copied over and no, it clearly wasn't resolved but I manually went in and altered all active player votes.
Ah, sorry to hear that. I'm puzzled why it wouldn't have Just Worked as long as the vote data was copied over correctly.
I assume that, after you alterered their votes, all has been well since?
