Configuration
Place the Vote.jar in the plugins folder. The configuration file will be created when the server is started. Make sure to have someone, doesn't matter who, as an op or it will shut down on load. The general overview of the config.yml custom commands is located here. You can read about how arguments work in Vote here. You can read about commands specific to Vote here. You can also watch the tutorial on how to create your own votes.Commands
All commands start with /vote- /vote yes/y - Votes yes on the active vote
- /vote no/n - Votes no on the active vote
- /vote [votename] - "/vote restart" will start a vote to restart the server. /vote kick rabidcrab will start a vote to kick rabidcrab
- /vote veto - Immediately cancels a vote.
- /vote reload - Reload the plugin, cancelling any outstanding vote commands, cancelling any active vote, and reloading the config file.
Permissions
If permissions are not enabled, everyone has the ability to start votes and vote.- vote.voteyes.[votename] - Allows the user or group to vote yes on [votename]. I.E vote.voteyes.restart will allow the player to vote for a restart
- vote.voteyes.* allows a player to vote yes for all votes
- vote.voteno.[votename] - Same as vote.voteyes.[votename], except for voting no
- vote.startvote.[votename] - vote.startvote.* for all, or vote.startvote.restart for restart, etc.
- vote.setvalue - The plugin runs it's own commands when voting for rain or sun. You need this permission on all admins for sun and rain votes to work correctly.
- vote.unkickable - Makes the player un-kickable
- vote.unbannable - Makes the player un-bannable
- vote.veto- Allows the player to cancel votes
- vote.reload- Reloads the plugin
@killermanaa2
There's currently 2 backup options available. /voter and /rabidvote. I'll add iVote to the next update, but I won't be able to send out an update for a few days.
Can you add an alias like /ivote <Vote Name> because I am currently using votifier on my server and it overrides this plugin. It would be great if you can add /ivote or something like that which isn't /vote. Thanks!
I set vote.startvote.restart: false on a group in PEX but said group can still use command, wtf is up with that
@RabidCrab
Bukkit has just ran into another problem: Login Errors. Mojang has recently updated their files and I have not been able to get into my testing server. The stability part has gotten really huge. can't log into my servers.
wish me luck...
@AltoXn
I actually do have a version for 1.7.2 R0.1 waiting for approval. I wouldn't recommend updating your bukkit to 1.7.2 yet, it's been having some issues with stability in general. My plugin isn't affected by any of the stability issues though.
@AltoXn For 1.7.2 does not work ...
sup :)
Working on a version for 1.7.2 yet?
@RabidCrab
Awesome im happy that you liked it, you can also use it as a banner. :D
It seems something has broken and now anyone can start all the votes even though they definitely do not have permissions to do so.
Latest Spigot, PEX, latest Vote.
@geekyservers
There hasn't been any documented permission changes to the latest update, and I was able to correctly execute it myself.
The setvalue is run by the op who's being emulated. Did you happen to change the rights of the ops, or update the permissions plugin?
@Arton123
That looks awesome, thanks man, I'll add it as the image right now.
After upgrade to 1.6.4 bukkit, I now get this error on votes:
You do not have permission to the setvalue command.
I just wanted to say thanks for this awesome plugin in some way, so i created an new simple looking logo for you.
Hope you like it. http://i.imgur.com/2GWnzQT.png
I tried using java De-compiler, so i can change some .class files even If i Decompile, and make no changes, and click the Compile button, i get errors.
My Goal is to have all the commands /judge
that way we have /judge /judge list /jugde ban playername /judge kick playername /judge weather-sunny or something
My reasons for this Edit, is because
I get all my voting websites...
If i type /vote kick /vote ban ect
i keep getting my voting websites.
so yea... If the Maker of the plugin could make that an official change, or a special build. Or give permission to someone else to make that for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
If anyone needs to contact me. My skype is conetopia.ext-3000
Using spigot 1.6.4 and when using /vote nothing happens, no errors, no permission denied or anything. Is this a 1.6.4 problem?
Not working on 1.6.2 R1.0
Hi, I have a problem. When writing a command / vote xxx, appears you do not have permission, but voting starts.
Don't work voteban :/
@RabidCrab
Is it possible to have a vote that goes over like 2 days, and the voting persists even past a reload/restart?
@niels1189
Sorry about that, I didn't see an update roll out on bukkit.
I just pushed the update to the site, so it'll probably be up tomorrow morning sometime.
