ThumbsApply
Commands | Permissions | Configuration
ThumbsApply is a plugin, that makes life for admins a lot easier. You can not only auto-promote your server guests by letting them enter a password, hidden in the rules. You can also Mute your Guests and show them a special Message on joining the server (both optional, of course). This Plugin supports Permissions 3.x, GroupManager, bPermissions, PermissionsEx and PermissionsBukkit. If you have any errors, please write a ticket with a proper error description and the error console log. Tickets that don't match that format or comments asking about an error will be ignored.

great plugin!
I tried using this plugin a while ago and it worked well to promote people after a set time. However, it put them in the PermissionsBukkit config in all lower case. This meant that when I manually promoted them using SetRankPB, they were doubled up in the config as it added them correctly with any capital letters. Has this been fixed in newer versions?
@mmuziek
i get the same Internal Server Error http://dev.bukkit.org/paste/4573/
This would be an excellent plugin for me if it worked...
it fails me. using bukkit for 1.1 and Bpermissions. it completely fails due error when a guest do /apply password. even after relogging.
I want to get to spawn after I entered the command. can you implement this?
@minevillede
thats a good idea, i will implement it.
edit: i just noticed that this should be working by default.
edit2: i just checked, it does not. i uploaded a new version tho, you can download it as soon as the file gets approved.
You should make it possible, to use color codes. It looks better if you could say:
"Hello Player! Please read the rules on our homepage: &4www.mydomain.com"
BUT: One of the best Bukkit Plugins!
@kozzy68
it works from any group that hasnt got the ThumbsApply.NotGuest permission.
Hi, Can you chose from which group you like to promote user or it works only from default groups ?
You come into the server is promoted in a minute and then they are user and guest? Can this be changed?
@Zombiemold
i don't know what that could be, maybe a conflict with other plugins. havent heard of that error yet.
@darkmage0252
Does the group they get promoted to have ThumbsApply.NotGuest?
Getting spammed with:
Unknown command. Type "help" for help. Unknown command. Type "help" for help. Unknown command. Type "help" for help. Unknown command. Type "help" for help.
while it is enabled. Any way to prevent this?
@benwingert
I cant seem to get the password one to work they get promoted but still cant talk
@TomisRomanEmpire
I'm sorry, I think that would go further than the actual purpose of my plugin. Version 1 had that feature and I didn't implement it in v2 on purpose. If I would implement every feature that would be nice to have, my plugin would be extremely huge and hard to understand one day.
I was wondering if it is possible for me to promote my quests to a specific group if they type in something like /apply a they will be in group a and then /apply B that will give them the ability to be in group B. (My server centers around roman and vikings).
@darkmage0252
Yes, just enable timedPromotion in the config and set the time until promotion in minutes.
can this auto give a player permission after a certain amount of time?
