Features:
- An entity (player, animal) in light will be set on fire. Stepping into shade will douse the entity.
- The entire plugin can be turned off if necessary, or player and mob burn can be toggled individually.
- The effects of SunBurn can be toggled on a per world basis. World not in the worldlist will not be burned, v1.5.0+
- A player may exempt from being burned with the player exemption list, v1.5.5+
- A configuration file makes for easy control of the plugin, v1.5.0+
- Per-world configurations allow for a precise time control system, as well as locking the time and weather in a world, v1.6.3+
- A protective armor system will protect the player, v1.6+
- The plugin will auto-update, v1.7.0+
- A whole bunch of permissions, v1.7.0+
- Armor can now be toggled with /burn armor. Some people didn't like it, I guess... v1.7.0+*
- Wasteland generation, v1.7.0+
- AutoWasteGen, v1.7.5+
- Toggle AutoUpdate, v1.7.6+
- Toggle AWG info logging, v1.7.7+
- Custom armour IDs and damage values. 1.8.0+
- 1.8.1 - Bugfixes only. I think there was a problem with armour damage and I'll have to look into that. It was not fixed with this update.

AutoUpdates
- These can now be turned off in the configuration because it is REQUIRED.
- By default, SunBurn will continue to AutoUpdate
- Changing "check_for_updates" in the config will disallow checking for updates
- Changing "auto_update" will disallow downloading the update.
- If "check_for_updates" is disabled, "auto_update" will always be disabled, regardless of actual setting.

hey im sorry cause im one of those who really wanted a sunburn mod and posted stuff to the original mod be4 you create your and well i always felt cheap to give no thanks or anwser but... i didnt created an account on this website until now, (i check so many plugins that i decided to finally get an account) but i still want to thank you a lot for creating this mod. this is really amazing to see a desert that can burn mobs and players to death =p. anyway i like your stuff dude and thx again =p

Absolutely, it totally fits with the horrid death-world theme of the plugin.
Acid rain would be great.

Hey guys, I know 1.3.1 is out, and I could update RIGHT NOW, but I've been working on 1.7.5, and there are still a couple of features that I want to add before updating. Hold on!
And if that wasn't clear enough, No, Sunburn 1.7.3 is NOT compatible with CB 1.3.1

What you asked for would be possible to program in, but I don't really see the point, since most users don't care. I might add it to 1.7.4 when that comes out...

No man wasn't asking for a new feature. I was just wondering if it could be done.
I will be using heroes so the only thing everyone can use for sure is leather. Leather breaks very quickly so it was worth asking if it could be done is all. :)
This is a great plugin though. It is still worth it even if it breaks the armor.

just set Armor_On to false in the config, or do /burn armor while in game to turn off protective armor. This will make the player burn regardless of if they have armor or not, but the armor will not take damage.
If you meant having armor that protects from burn, but takes no damage at the same time - be a bit more realistic. The issues with that are:

Could armor be made to not take burn damage? I already make armor hard to get in the prison world.
@telephonekiosk The issue here is not with city world. Currently, sunburn does not automatically generate wasteland. It's being worked on and will probably be one of the main features of the next update.

I had an idea to use this with CityWorld so that I could have an apocalyptic-looking world with cities in it, but when I used this plugin while running CityWorld there was still grass/trees/etc in the world. I don't know if this can be fixed, but if you could make this compatible with CityWorld that would be awesome :)

hello! i was wondering if your plugin would be suitable for adding custom vampire groups to my server.
basically all groups would have sunburn.protect permission node while the vampire group would not. the config would read as this:
burn_damage: 0 burn_animals: false burn_players: true chunk_depth: 5 Armor_Type: Durability: Armor_On: false worlds: world exclude_players: player

And if you don't want to get it, but already have 1.7.0, well, we will now see if that plugin disabler works properly...
