Troubleshooting
If you are having trouble determining why something isn't working, set log-level: ALL
in the /plugins/Sleep/config.yml file and restart your server. Wait for the problem to reoccur then paste the server.log file to somewhere like http://gist.github.com and post a comment here with a link to the paste.
@WingedSpear
Good idea regarding a trimmed down player name. I just assumed everyone would want the display name, but those can easily get unwieldingly long. Try this 6.1.0b0 beta which will allow you to alter the
messages.+player
setting in the config.yml to"{0}"
which will be only the player's in-game name without any display changes. (Of note, that version will replace your config.yml file so you'll have to make any changes you've made again if you already have. But it will backup your current config.yml so you can copy/paste easily enough as necessary.)For the colors, it can be a bit tricky in that the section sign "§" is a unicode character. For linux, the default character set is UTF-8 and the config.yml file should be extracted as UTF-8 for you automatically. You need to make sure your text editor is saving as UTF-8 also.
How exactly are you viewing and saving the config.yml file? Can you confirm it recognizes the file as UTF-8 and saves it as UTF-8?
Ok its working fine, but now i wonder if theres a way for show just the name of the user instead of hes entire nick and rank cause is too annoying the long name like ''[Builder][wingedspear] has gone to sleep, need 2 more for force day'', will look much better like ''wingedspear has gone to sleep....''
also i will love to add colors but looks like the default ones dont work in Linux (my server its hosted on linux), they look like this http://pastie.org/4770391 check this '''', at bukkit they sayd ''use the ''S'' symbol instead'' but if i do that a little ''Â'' appear b4 every color...
@WingedSpear
Please try this fixed version (6.0.1).
It appears that error will happen the first run (if the PlayerActivity.jar utility is not manually placed first under /plugins/Sleep/ or installed manually as an independent plugin) but not thereafter. Actually, if you simply restart your server once more even with Sleep 6.0.0 that error should not occur again because the utility jar will then exist prior to loading Sleep.

not working =(, using 1.3.2 CB....the last dev one
Thanks! Fantastic :)
I rely on the MCPC build from http://www.mcportcentral.co.za/, which hasn't been updated yet.
@bezaban
Thank you bezaban! The older versions are available, and I used Sleep 5.1.0 with CraftBukkit 1.2.5. There are bugs with the older versions however and I don't plan on supporting the older versions.
I'd wholeheartedly recommend getting your server upgraded as soon as possible. Both Sleep 6.0.0 and CraftBukkit 1.3.1 are very improved over their predecessors.
Hello. Your plugin looks great.
I am however wondering if you have a 1.2.5 version of the plugin? I would assume that you just replaced the 1.3.1 release since the oldest version is from august 2011.
If you could supply me with the 1.2.5 version I would be greatly appreaciative.
Thank you.
Yayyyy updated!! :D
This plugin is avaible for the newest MC Version, but this page didn't get updated.
Here the link to the forum with the newest version: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/misc-sleep-v5-1-0-multi-player-sleep-management-idle-notifications-force-1-2-5-r1-0.14703/
Hope to see this plugin get updated along with bukkit. Thanks!
