@SpyMaster:
"That should work, could you post a line to a pastebin of your config file?"
I haven't even any idea what a pastebin is, but if you let me know I will make it happen.
By the way, am I the only one this is happening to? I haven't read anything about people not being able to change 'SHOP' currency.
Anyhow, here is my config file settings below.
Thanks for downloading Shop! # ——————————————————————————————#

"@SpyMaster356,
Okay, since I haven't any friggin' idea how to post a pastebin file I went ahead and tried something out.
I downloaded fresh copies of both bukkit and shop and started a brand new server on another computer. Turns out, that even with fresh copies of both you CANNOT change the currency.
I am asking everyone reading this to try and change their config files as well, in hopes that after realizing you are FOREVER stuck with EMERALD/RUPEE(S) as your currency one of you will post the necessary pastebin for SpyMaster356.
ALSO, I would like to ask you to please fix this issue SpyMaster356. Nobody, and I do mean NOBODY (this includes you) can change the currency using the mod you have listed in the download.
IMO, one of this mods greatest features is the ability to change currency to something suitable for your server.
Sorry I couldn't ease things up for you, but pastebin seems to be beyond my comprehension.
Thanks again..."
@FingersMeller: Go "Okay, since I haven't any friggin' idea how to post a pastebin file"
Go to pastebin.com and paste the contents of your Config in there and hit submit, then post the link here.
@FingersMeller: Go "you are FOREVER stuck with EMERALD/RUPEE(S) as your currency"
I just tested this with Shop v1.4.7.s2 on CraftBukkit v1.7.2-R0.2, CraftBukkit v1.6.4-R2.0, and Spigot v1.7.2-R0.3 and i was able to change the currency on all three systems. I additionally did the same test on all three bukkit versions with Shop v1.4.7, and had the same results.
Here is the pastebin link:

Also, I wonder why it works for you but not for me?
@FingersMeller: Go
I copied the config, and it works on Shop v1.4.7 on CB 1.6.4-R2.0.
are you restarting the server between saves of the config?
@SpyMaster356: Go
Here is what I am doing.
1. I am using the most recent Dev build of bukkit and your Shop v1.4.7.s2.
2. I am changing the settings to what I pasted for you in the pastebin.
3. I save the settings.
4. I start my server and place a store down.
5. I notice that the store says Rupee(s) in green and will only take emeralds as payment.
Truthfully, I love this mod so much and am thoroughly frustrated I can't get it to work for me, lol. Anything I can do to help you help me and I will do it. :(
Here is a list of the other pluggins I have on my main server.
@FingersMeller: Go "Here is what I am doing. <snip>"
That is very strange. I am at a loss for explaining why this is happening.
"Anything I can do to help you help me and I will do it. :("
can you make a $200 "donation"? ;)
how do you change the settings in the config.yml file? Which program do you use?
I simply use notepad to open the yml file and then I change EMERALD to LAPIS_BLOCK and Rupee(s) to Blue Dollar.
There we go! For once an error!

Try editing the config with Sublime Text or Notepad++, as it looks like Notepad tacks on some extra data to the file.
Yeah notepad fixed that problem for me too. That's what I though was the issue just tried to make sure
Awesome, will do! and thanks guys! :)
Ticket Closed: Problem Resolved
Cause of Problem: Notepad sticking extra data on the config
Fix: Use Sublime Text or NotePad++ for editing the config file.
