MultiSpawn
Is your spawn point overrun with buildings? Ever wish that there was a way to spread out the new player base? Now there is! With MultiSpawn you can define several spawn points throughout your worlds and have new players be teleported to them at random whenever they re-spawn or the first time they log into the server. Once they set a home though (in CommandBook or Essentials) or sleep in a bed they will spawn at the place defined in the other plugin or by the server.
This plugin was sponsored and paid for by the WildCraft server for use on their public server, but, after a month of waiting, is now open for you the public to use as well!
Features
- Set multiple spawn points, even if they are in different worlds!
- Spread out your player base!
- Does not interfere with player spawning once they sleep in a bed or set a home through CommandBook or Essentials.
- Does not interfere with the simplejail spawning mechanism.
- Warp to any spawn point
- Exempt some players from getting teleported to a random spawn by setting a main spawn. (Using permissions)
- Saves exact position including pitch and yaw for absolute precise spawns
Commands
- /mshelp - Shows help for all the other commands
- /spawn or /mspawn (Disable the spawn command in Essentials to use the /spawn command in this plugin) - Teleport to a random spawn point
- /msadd [spawn name] - Add a spawn point
- /msdel [spawn name] - Delete a spawn point
- /msmain [spawn name] - Set the main spawn point
- /mswarp [spawn name - Warp to a specific spawn point
- /mslist - List all the spawn points
Permissions (defaults to op only unless specified)
- multispawn.add - Ability to add a spawn point
- multispawn.delete - Ability to delete spawn points
- multispawn.setmain - The ability to set what spawn is the main spawn point (used for people that are exempt from random spawn.)
- multispawn.warp - Ability to warp to specific spawns
- multispawn.list - The ability to list the spawn points
- multispawn.spawn - Ability to use /spawn or /rspawn (defaults to everyone)
- multispawn.help - The player can pull up the help menu
- multispawn.norandom - Always spawn this player at the main spawn if set.
How do I disable everyone's ability to use /spawn?
Could you make it to respect Essentials teleport-cooldown and teleport-delay ?
please update!

Ugh, command book updated. I'll try to get a fix pushed.
Im getting this... conflicts with commandbook? http://pastie.org/5360986
There isn't another random spawn plugin that's quite as good as this one, and it still works with 1.4! Super!
Looks awesome. Downloading!
would be interesting that the FIRST player's random spawn point could become HIS main spawn point definitively. I mean, the first time a player log in the server, he spawn randomly at any spawn points, THEN, whenever he dies, he respawn ALWAYS at his SAME spawn point (if no home bed defined). and/or may be a main spawn point by group : any player from that group will respawn at his group's spawn point.
because im making a hungergames server and i want players to spawn in seperate tube things im wondering if it is possable to make it so that each player spawns in a different tube
Would there be some way to add a feature that when a person respawns, they do so at the spawn point nearest to them instead of a random one? On my server, for example, I'd like my players to spawn near the city in which they died instead of a random city across the map.
How do I set this up with PermissionsEx? I've added the permissions I want my user group to use but they still cant use /spawn
Could you please include a way to make players teleport to the main spawnpoint on their first login, then the random spawn point on death? I have a tutorial at my spawn, but with this plugin, my players are unable to go through the tutorial because they are automatically teleported to the random spawns. This could also be done by inverting the multispawn.norandom making it true by default, then having the permission removed using a commandsign plugin or something similar. Thank you very much.
@Tux2
Ok, ok I managed to come up with another solution, but What I was trying to says was, when someone types /spawn, they can just keep doing it till they come to a spot that they like, so instead of allowing them to just keep doing it, put a limit on how many times they can do it per life.
Whenever you die, you respawn at a random spawn point, unless you have the permission node multispawn.norandom. So just deny them the permisson node multispawn.spawn node.
@Tux2
Could you please add something that only allows you to use /spawn within every life time, like only once they die and they're back at the main spawn, then they can use that command again. Would be very helpful
@xclucky
Same thing happened to me, but then I set the Main Spawn, and then it started working, I guess you have to have a main spawn '/msmain [name]'
For some reason when I type /spawn it does nothing. Absolutely nothing...
Here is a list of my plugins:
Any thoughts?
Seems this is blocking my regular users from being able to spawn with their beds. Only OP's are able to spawn in beds.
@Tux2
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
@OliverDollar
Ah, seems CommandBook updated and broke the integration. I'll see about having a fix out shortly.
