PlayerParticles
PlayerParticles has moved to Spigot. Please download the plugin from https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/playerparticles.40261/ for now on. Newer versions will no longer be uploaded here.
PlayerParticles is great to use as a VIP perk and is EULA friendly! Your players will love the amount of customization that is available for them!
The plugin wiki can be found here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki
Permission details can be found in the wiki here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki/Permissions
The GUI provides ease-of-access for your users. Simply typing /pp will open the GUI and bring them to a menu where they can edit their particles. If you are using the plugin for a server lobby, you can bind the /pp gui command to an item using a different plugin.
The section below contains a GIF of all styles currently available in the plugin. Please note that all styles are compatible with all particle effects, meaning there are thousands of combinations. I only show one effect per style in the GIFs below. While most of the GIFs only show the particles around a player, the majority of them can also be placed around blocks.
Arrows
Batman
Beam
BlockBreak
BlockPlace
Celebration
Chains
Companion
Cube
Feet
Halo
Hurt
Invocation
Move
Normal
Orbit
Overhead
Point
Popper
Pulse
Quadhelix
Rings
Sphere
Spin
Spiral
Swords
Thick
Twins
Vortex
Whirl
Whirlwind
Wings
PlayerParticles will check for an update each time your server starts. The plugin .jar will never be downloaded, OPs will get a notification in chat when they log in if an update is available. PlayerParticles will also send metrics about your server anonymously through bStats.
Update checking can be turned off by setting check-updates to false in the config.yml. Metrics can be turned off by setting send-metrics to false in the config.yml.
If a player has their particle settings (In Options > Video Settings) set to minimal they will be unable to see most particles displayed. I am unable to fix this since it is purely client side.
I will only help you with errors you are having if you are running the latest version of the plugin and are running a supported version of Minecraft!

So GOOD! Loved every minute!
With 4.2 plugin version in a 1.8.8 server, when /pp effect (particle name) used, the message that displayed in the chat is the following.
[PlayerParticles] Now using type {PARTICLE} particles!
Please fix it.. :)
+Very good job! :D
( Also in 1.8 seems that is no problem with F5, try to find changes happend on new releases.. )
The formatting for messages changed in v4.1. It seems like your config didn't get properly reset after the update...
If you delete your config.yml file in the PlayerParticles folder it will generate a new one for you when you reload/restart your server. Make a backup of your current one if you made any changes you want to keep. You can then copy/paste anything that didn't change over from the backup.
i run the plugin on 1.8.8 server i type playerparticles.effect.lava and playerparticles.style.lava and when i changed group and i got in it with those perms and i wrote /pp lava it wrote to me /pp list and showed to me "you dont have perminission to use any particles "
The only way one group to have the particles is only to have that perm playerparticles.style.*
please help......
To give a user permission to use an effect it is playerparticles.effect.lava and to give them a style it is playerparticles.style.orbit (for example).
I tested the permissions for v4.2 and everything is functioning as intended.

Greate job man on 4.2 ;)
i got a suggestion
maybe there could be a way to make particales static like on a block for example
/pp set [<x> <y> <z>] [effect] [style] (data)
example:
/pp set -100 85 725 endrod orbit <=== spawns on location -100, 85, 725 the orbit endrod particles
this would be awsome if this could make it into the plugin
Kind regards
Joris
This was actually exactly something that I was going to do in 4.2 but pushed to a later date instead. Coming in v4.3.

Version 4.1 has been uploaded and will be available as soon as the BukkitDev team gets to it. Enjoy!
@Wihunda
As of now, not much has progressed. I'll work on it once these school projects are over. It should be out within the next month. Not much exciting stuff will be in it so you aren't missing much.
Thanks for the interest!
Any news on 4.1?
@NerdExtremeGAB
Yes, but it will be available as a style in v4.1
@Esophose
Esophose the fire cube is a secret project?
@Grrevous
/pp effect iconcrack
/pp data ink_sack 2
That will make green dye with the icon crack effect
