What is MineQuest?
MineQuest is a customizable roleplaying plugin. It contains fully customizable abilities, classes, and quests. You can gain experience and level up to increase your abilities and use addons to MineQuest to create your custom experience. And best of all, MineQuest comes with instanced dungeons support built right into its Core. Oh, and Javascript support.

Quests:
Quests can range from simple gather missions, where the players must gather an amount of a resource, to massive dungeons and giant boss fights. This allows players to design and share their Quests with the masses. With help of our quest design helper, players can design Quests to create whatever they want.
Parties:
MineQuest also contains a party system. Any quester can create a party at any time, but they are only really used for entering Quests. When a quest is started MineQuest will attempt to bring an entire players party with them. A quester can create a party with the following command.

Great work guys, nice to see your still working on this :)
Personally as great as npc's would be i would hold back from developing your own for now, not only because of the all the hard work involved but with the new api and what might become of it.
Also bukkit is full of everyone reproducing the same thing all ready which i don't need to say what troubles that can cause. I for one hope that we will enter a new era for minecraft and start seeing much better compatibility between plugins and hooks where there were none before making it simpler to utilise what others have done and even modify instead of creating more bloat. If you not guessed all ready i would say wait and see what becomes of citizens2 and if there's something more you need or lacking from their plugin to try working with them if possible for them to include it or a way of linking/hooking into theirs and then adding the extra's needed.
@AnimayHound - not heard of citizenskins? ok it requires spoutplugin but still remains a fact it is possible to skin your npc's and change them via commands without having to adjust any config !! hee hee plus capes xD
@AnimayHound
The current citizens is out of date. We plan to build off of Citizens 2.
@Echobob
Make it standalone. Citizens has things that most people don't like at the moment. For ex., Citizens doesn't offer Skin Change support. If you make it a standalone, offer the ability to change skins in a config. Do you really want to make an add-on to a plugin that's already limited, and adding even more limits? Think about it. LIKE IF YOU AGREE!!!
@Shvesley
@AnimayHound
That is the reasoning behind the poll that is currently active. We were deciding whether we should go with our own npc plugin or go with citizens. So far More People have said citizens.
@AnimayHound
Seconded.
is there a way to add Citizens support? I want to make my server a total MMORPG, and I have all the npcs set up, but I want to add quests to them. For ex, right-clicking on an NPC loads up a UI/GUI that allows the user to talk to the NPC. The user can then select options like quests, shops, or random chat.
@Thingon
Not yet, sorry. :/
Is there a possible way to disable RPG on worlds while leaving it on on others?
@poke0901
Your [quest] is slightly misaligned...
Ok so here are the pictures of me trying to start the quest http://i45.tinypic.com/3484jts.jpg
http://i47.tinypic.com/vnnyc0.jpg /quest main
http://i45.tinypic.com/2yw9zic.png /quest given
and here is the entire console after doing it http://pastebin.com/bMDtnBEe
only plugins i have are minequest, minequest-events, minequest-rpg, and vault
@stonedwasp
If it's a main world quest, then it's not supposed to show up in /quest given, but /quest main. Also, check the server log. Improperly made quests can cause errors.
@poke0901
Same reply to you, look up. Abilities does not have an active developer at the moment.
@Pathicpie
Open a support ticket with your webhost. That's not our problem.
Whenever i try to add the MineQuest.jar file it says "Upload failed. Unable to upload to web-server" Any help?
Same here i right click and tis availible and left click and it says i accept it but i doesnt show up in given and i cannot /quest start either, i tryed all that stuff. Im Pretty sure its not me. Also are there spells yet?
@Echobob Hey can you help me, i've made a quest and I right click then left click the sign. When I type /quest start it says 'You don't have that quest!' and I can't start it:( please help!
@cheese510
Use %p for a place holder for the player name. If your command was: /manuadd <player> <group> You would type this into the questhelper: manuadd %p group
@cheese510
Use the RewardCmdEvent. It's in the Quest Helper, lower left under Rewards.
Is it possible with this plugin to promote users ranks when they finish a quest? Was thinking of using the commands function, is there a syntax to insert the players name? IE: /permissions player setgroup 'user' Rank1
I'm just getting tons of : 23:39:18 [SEVERE] Could not pass event PlayerInteractEvent to MineQuest org.bukkit.event.EventException
Errors, on any quest i try, self made and pre made

Further note: There is another way we could do Main World Quests, in which we make another table. But, in the end, we still have to do BLOBS for storing QuestDetails (in order to ensure that players can finish main world quests as they were made, even after the file is modified or such), so... (Why would you need to see Main World Quest information on a website?)
Please, pleeeaaaase use proper mysql formating! Don't store blobs in the database! Use collumns and tables, because that is what mysql is made for. Blob are damn unefficient and because of that I/other people can't use any of the quest information outside of minequest (for example on the website).
Damn... :-/
