Release Notes

07 August 2013

Welcome to the MineQuest release notes for 3.0.0 M1.

This release contains features, bug fixes, and security enhancements. Additionally, updated versions of these release notes, as well as an errata for this release, may be viewed at our website[0].

Features:

* MineQuest has been split into three components - api, common, and platform. This allows MineQuest to support other platforms.

* New interface, based on inventories - this allows a more graphical approach to users who don't want to work with commands.

* Better world support, including flat, large biome, and end types and environments.

Regressions & Known Issues:

* Command frontends may have %n% instead of player names - please notify us if you see any.

* Edits have not been implemented.

* Targets have not been implemented.

* Map frontend has not been implemented.

* Javascript has not been implemented.

* Python has not been implemented.

* JSON has not been implemented.

Security Enhancements:

* N/A

Developer Notes:

* We changed our artifact IDs for Maven. Instead of "MineQuest-API" or "MineQuest", the three components are "api", "common", and "bukkit", representing the API, the common platform-independent implementation on the API, and the bukkit-specific platform implementation.

Released Versions:

* 3.0.0 Milestone 1

  • We have a bug reporter for MineQuest; however, it's not really functioning yet - we don't have a bugzilla! In the meantime, it will save bug reports to your local directory, which we can expect if you send them to us.
  • A lot of stuff isn't implemented yet.
