MehGravity
Information

Introduction
This is a massive change of how minecraft physics works. Floating blocks? None. Everything falls down, entirely intact. For example, try chopping a tree with this: If the tree isn't connected to the world it will fall down and suffocate you with its leaves. Another example is a player building a huge 1*1 dirt pillar. Tired of those? Just stand on the ground and smash it down! There are many, many more uses for this plugin just waiting around the corner to be explored. (Tip: Redstone)
(Short) This plugin checks if a collection of blocks that is not over the block limit(default 2000 blocks) isn't connected to the world/bedrock, and will then move it as far down as it can.
What if I have built my whole base on a big floating island?
No problem. As long as the block count of the floating island is over 2000 blocks(two 10*10*10 cubes) it won't fall down. (Configurable value)
What's the point of this plugin?
Minecraft is quite boring with floating blocks, don't you think?
Information
This is a very CPU intensive plugin as it has to check for structures that can fall down every time a player modifies the world. It's not a problem as long as you have a powerful server, and you could even raise the block limit alot.
Current permission nodes: "mehgravity.nocheck": Won't check gravity for that player. Current commands: None.
Metrics
This plugin is using Metrics which means that this plugin collects data about your server configuration. Currently it collects the default Metrics data:
- How many servers are running this plugin
- How many players there are total on the servers
- Your server's Java version
- Your server's operating system
- The amount of cores in your server's cpu
- Metrics version data
All of which can be viewed to the public here: http://metrics.griefcraft.com/plugin/mehgravity
Note: You can easily disable Metrics by setting "useMetrics" to "false" in the config.
Yeah ! that's sucks
I'm refreshing the page every minute :(
Seems like 1.7 is never going to get approved.
Oki doki ! You're my hero ! Thanks a lot !
@predawnia
Should be fixed in version 1.7
@Grannyte
Done in 1.7 :D. Works perfectly with spigot and MCPC+, but BEWARE, I don't provide ANY support for blocks added by mods.
@limiteur
Done in 1.7!
Edit: Forgot to mention, file hasn't been approved yet. Edit2: Don't forget to delete your old config file
"Add configuration for blocks you don't want and blocks you want to fall"
Add this I beg you !
Any chance of this comming to 1.7 and does it work with spygot or mcpc?
Hi getting errors when using with Spigot #1307 Pastie Link: http://pastie.org/8710667

Seems weird to me, will you public your plugin's source code or keep it for your self? I would like to test it on my Dev server.
@ThePlayingNoob
I actually made a version with the sand falling effect. The only problem was that the whole structure fell down as far down as it could and made a big pile of blocks with no air inside. Shouldn't be too hard to fix if there were invisible solid blocks.
@therealgustav9797 I got a suggestion, It would be amazing if you could add "sand falling effect" to blocks. It would look more realistic and awesome plugin have been using it for 2 days so far :3!
I've actually been wanting a plugin like this. There's really only one thing extra I'd like to see. I don't even know if I'll be able to explain, but would it be possible to make having a pillar only support blocks a configurable distance away? Like for example, if you built a pillar, then built off of that pillar 5 blocks in one direction, anything past that 6th block would fall down. I personally would like that feature a lot. I'm definitely downloading it how it is though. Also, is it possible to make it check for floating blocks after an explosion interacts with it? So a creeper could take out supports and make it fall?
Please add compatibility with 1.5.2 (I'm not a fan of 1.6 and later). The reason for this request - This plugin is perfect for my physical server 1.5.2.
@AndaleTheGreat
Whitelist? Nope. Corner touch? Nope. Sorry! It's very easy to add these options though so I might do it.
I have 'sculpted' builds with blocks that are not directly in contact. Is there a config I can use to whitelist blocks that I want to assign to have gravity?
Can it be set to somehow see that the block is touching corners with another?
My plugins have been checked against the latest 1.7 dev build and they work. No need for uploading a new version :)
@SonicundMario
I'm going to try to see if I can fix that in the future!
Okay i found a bug Explosions do not trigger the falling of Blocks :D
I love it <3
Makes Minecraft much more realistic ... I did not found any bugs yet.... but i will report if i find one :D!
(Btw can i add in the configuration sand , gravel , anvil etc to the blocks that will not fall too?)
