LittleRPG
The RPG for Minecraft which you have been eagerly waiting for has finally arrived. Designed with awesomeness in mind, LittleRPG contains fancy looking spells, wizz-bang mechanics and joyful unexpectedness.
There is only one question which you need consider before playing with this mod. "Do I need to go outside for a while?"
Optionally with v1.4+, you get a first server join screen which allows you to pick a class with buttons if you are using Spout.

Dealing damage
Your damage increases from 1 damage (0.5 hearts) at level 1 all the way up to 9 damage (4.5 hearts) at level 20.
Note: This will stay as beta until it is decided that the classes are balanced enough.

The cool thing is, if you do this with damage AND armor, people can wear awesome warrior, ranger, mage skins, without looking ugly with full diamond armor on.

I do like that suggestion. It could get rid of people who are wondering why they level 10 and are not doing any damage (since not everyone bothers to read the description).
I shall ponder about this.
What would be best in my opinion:
Level up, slight stat increase. When died, no levels lost, only exp bar resets. (stats include: damage, armor, maybe cast / shoot time?)
Since I installed the mod for a rpg feel, and not directly for mining, this seems the best option for me.
But they're only suggestions. ;) Increases the fun for me, but I will use this plugin the way it it too!

Thanks for the feedback.
That is certainly something I did not think about. My first thoughts for that is something like this: if you improve your armour, your damage increases. If you then take it off you keep your damage output, unless you die.
What do you reckon?

Maybe for a future patch: Damage and armor increases as you level up? I kinda like the idea of having a cool skin, and still being able to deal good amounts of damage.
Not really neccesairy, but would be better, in my opinion.

I realy like your plugin. But I've got a bit of troubleshooting. All class weapons (sword bow dandelion) deal no damage at all!
How to fix this?

2.0.0 is the newest version.
There is no cure spell for any class.
Could on elabourate on the ranged class not being hit?
ranged is not getting hit in any class
when I die my level is 20, and the cure spell does not work (ranged)

The info for the classes on my site are up to date (as of yesterday). Please let me know if you users feel there is something missing from there.
WOOTZORS! It is here! I have finally produced a functionally complete (as far as I know) version (2.0.0) of this plugin for all you guys! I will change the description to better describe the changes tomorrow.
A major addition for this version is the party system! Being part of a party means you can't be hurt by players in your party and you can also communicate only with members of your party.
Since I haven't touched or tested the quests system (apart from the file it gets saved to) I don't know how it is going, but the chances are that is still works like it did before.

As am I, mate. I am getting excited because I have finally just coded up all the fundamental skills for this renewal and am mostly testing it and fixing bugs now. So with any luck I will be able to release it within a week or so!

Fun fact: A bit of faffing around with this plugin produced knowledge on how to have a player create a fireball and allow me to keep track of it (which is important so I can manipulate damages/burn times).
This means that there will still be fireballs in this new version!

Thanks for the interest. I am actually part way through gameplay modifications due to Bukkit making it darn near impossible to do fireballs in the recent versions and I feel the need for better PvP stuff.
