Infected
Features:
This plugin allows you to customize the mobs on your server and in your worlds like YOU want! You can add tons of things to their attacks and soon you'll can do even more. At the moment you have a decent choise of effects, which you can give to the mobs you want. You can also add multiple effects to a single mob if you want and you can also choose how often the effect should occure, be enabled and in which world. It is also possible to set a message when you got 'infected' and 'cured'. This plugin is lightweight, highly-configurable and upĀ²date.
Effect | Usage |
---|---|
nausea | Visual effect (a bit like the portal ones) |
hunger | The player is hungry (decrease food-bar) |
slow | The player is slower (wow!) |
blind | The player can only see a few blocks far |
poison | The player becomes poisoned |
burn | The player burns! |
lifesteal | Giving the enemy health back |
critical hit | Dealing an amount of damage YOU want. |
damage | Deal additional damage |
reflect | Reflecting the damage to the player |

- Use commands to change effects ingame without reloading
- Add velocity/speed of a mob

Installation
If you want to use a newer version than yours, please check the config-page for changes first! Place the Infected.jar in plugins folder. Now customize and configure the plugin! You can find a instruction how to edit the config.yml here! Please dont forget that :P

There is a bit of incompatibility with the plugin HeroStronghold. It doesn't affect anything, but it does spam errors. The errors occur whenever an arrow is shot through a region called an arrowturret. It shoots arrows when other players, other than the owner, walk past it.

A few small ideas. a regular knockback, a throw. throw would toss the player up in the air and they would take a little bit of fall damage. Also perhaps a weakness effect.
You should add an item cure, like milk
Wow, seems like this plugin got a lot of attention since you created it. Congrats on releasing the second version!
Also I noticed the new "Burn, lifesteal, criticalhit" abilities, especially good work done at that!

This is awesome. I would love if there was a way a player can get infected and turn into a zombie using mobdisguise.

been running this for awhile and it works really great. I'm about to change my entire server so I may or may not be using this anymore, maybe for those mobs that don't have attacks would be likely.
I just wanted to let you know of an issue, and I'm not sure if you would support it or not. I've been getting reports from players that they get infected on distance attacks.
example: Player shoots an arrow at zombie - player instantly gets infected. This is also the case for players using any magic/skill, etc. On player attack to entities the player will automatically roll the infected dice.
Just thought I would let ya know and keep up the awesome ideas!

Another idea:add in a factor that can adjust every mod's health

Oh update? Nice.. I really like this plugin. It's simple, yet fairly customizable and useful.
Tip to other server owners: Run this together with the "Zombie Plague" plugin, they're awesome together! Will definitely make your players go "BRAAIIIINSS"

Do you think you could add a way to make both vanilla and custom mobs spawn only within a certain radius?
That way we could have say, regular zombies spawning everywhere, but after a certain distance zombies that can poison you start appearing?
The idea is kind of far fetched though, since you would have to make a node for every mob possible. I understand if you're not up to it
And I hate to be a burden, but if you do decide to take that route, could you make this plug in to Heroes somehow? I think the plugins could work well together, but Heroes already has it's own way of manipulating mobs
