GuestCraft
GuestCraft is a plugin that allows guests to teleport to locations worth seeing on your server. When joining your server new players will be presented with a compass and a book, which features a guide on how to get started on your server. By right clicking while holding the compass guests can open up a menu showing warps to teleport to. As GuestCraft also supports BungeeCord and commands, it can also be used for lobby servers and more.
Installation
- Download the plugin and save it in the plugins folder of your server.
- Make sure all players except for those in your guest group have the GuestCraft.noGuest permission node.
- You're done!
Commands
GuestCraft comes with a bunch of commands. You can find a guide on how to use them here.
BungeeCord
GuestCraft supports BungeeCord in order to allow players to teleport to other servers. Please note that features, which require BungeeCord, will not work on none BungeeCord servers.
Permissions
- GuestCraft.noGuest Tells the plugin that the player is not a guest.
- GuestCraft.tp.command Allows you to use the /GuestCraft tp command.
- GuestCraft.tp.compass Allows you to open the warp menu using a compass.
- GuestCraft.admin.editWarps Allows you to add and remove warps.
- GuestCraft.admin.editBook Allows you to edit and save the book guests get when joining your server.
- GuestCraft.admin.stats Allows you to use the /GuestCraft stats command.
Config
You can find a guide on how to configure the plugin here.
Metrics
To determine popularity and usage of GuestCraft, plugin installs are automatically tracked by the Metrics plugin tracking system. If you don't want this tracking, set Metrics to false in the config file or set opt-out to true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml to disable it globally.
@noname202
alright than
@DeltaDragon369
Unfortunately it's not :)
Is this open source or no? I would really love to know how you made this plugin. Its amazing.
@Jestarz
You can do that by using negative permission nodes. Simply add -GuestCraft.noGuest to your admin group and you should be fine.
I'll add a compass command in one of the next releases, although it might be disabled by default to avoid conflicts with WorldEdit.
Hello @noname202
How can I enable it to work with everyone? Even ops? I want it to be useful and to test it. A suggestion too: a command to get the compass :)
@noname202
Thank you so much! This is much appreciated :)
Will test it when it has been reviewed :D
@GameplayerHD
I just submitted GuestCraft 1.2 to BukkitDev. It brings many new features including BungeeCord support, command support, color code support and the ability to add descriptions to menu items.
@noname202
Thank you, appreciate it!
@GameplayerHD
Support for commands and BungeeCord will be included in the next release.
@noname202
True, i got a custom plugin but it only works on command. Bungeecord servers, recuires slight changes in the code for people being able to teleport, but thanks :)
@GameplayerHD
Currently there is no way to forward commands directly to BungeeCord. However, it would be possible to teleport players to another server.
@FireHazardHobo
This will be included in the next release.
Awesome plugin! Would it be possible to add the players facing direction to the config as well? At the moment all players seem to be facing South when teleported :)
Amazing! Wondering if instead of warps, that you could add a custom command to be executed? Like on bungeecord servers, /server faction, /server spleef.
Thanks :)
@SonarBeserk
That's a good idea. I'll think about it :)
could you make a plugin that is like this but made to allow quick warping for players?
Also there is a typo when trying to edit the guestbook with something selected.
@Draver10
Added /GuestCraft tp command which brings up the warp menu. The update should be available within the next couple of hours.
@Draver10
Yay! Thank you so much! :D
Love the fact that I just set it up and users can warp by themselves, but there should be a command that lets ops get the warp compass. Other than that, really nice plugin!
