EasyBan
EasyBan
With this plugin you can ban griefers and other annoying people from your "offline" Server. To combat dynamic IPs EasyBan keeps track of players IP addresses and saves them into a file or database. Additionally you can ban entire subnets and/or countries if necessary. You can also add different DNSBL to block unwanted client hosts(open proxies, tor exit nodes, and much more). The plugin has support for Permissions (via bukkit API). When no Permissions plugin is installed all commands default to OP.
Features:
- Kick and ban players and all their IP addresses
- Temporary bans
- Ban entire subnets
- Ban entire countries
- Ban hosts with the help of DNSBL
- Customize plugin messages
- IPv6 support
- YAML, HSQLDB and MySQL database support
- Anonymous statistic reporting to mcstats.org.
- PHP Banlist

was that sarcasm?
FYI, i'm already using it :p
i've found a big though, with CB 1.2.5-R1.3 and EB v3.0 B:15
the messages.yml file it generates is empty, which gives an error.
i've created a 1.8.1 server to generate the file with EB v2.1 with that messages.yml 3.0 works fine.
@pimsserver
Aww, that means my plugin is going bye bye from your server? And I spoke to the dev, there will be updates to follow, he aims to mostly maintain it. If he agrees, I might help with the maintenance/development of this plugin.
AAAWWW YYYYEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
i LOVE this plugin! so much better than any of the competitors.
just one thing i would like to know: will more updates follow or is it abandoned again? (haven't seen a reply by the dev yet)
@deleted_7554077 How you found it ???
O.O
HOLY SH*T
AN UPDATE

Sweet jesus.
@whoami2
Haha ok, good. Thanks for looking at it.
After looking at the code again I have to reverse my answer.
I will show you what happens when a user connects.
As you can see only the IP the player is currently using is used to determine if a player is banned. And as it is very unlikely that a attacker could have used that same IP I have to answer that @badda2k question with no :)
@whoami2
I'll create a new ticket for this.
@badda2k
Yes
I suppose the server admin could remove those ips by hand from the database. At the moment I have no idea on how I could prevent that but I will think of something
I have a question about banning the name and IPs of a player Say a person (derp) has the IP 1.2.3.4 That person tries to be annoying and logs in to everyone's account. Admins find out and he gets banned. Now, since his IP is in several of the other player's IP log, would those players get banned his that IP is linked to a banned IP of another player?
Okie dokie. Thanks! I had no idea what a subnet was lol. That's why I had to ask.
A single IP without a name associated to it?
/ebansubnet ip/255.255.255.255 (e.g. /ebansubnet 1.2.3.4/255.255.255.255)
So how would you ban an IP?
@IAreKyleW00t
/eban bans all known ips of a player and the name.
Just a quick question, does /eban automatically ban the IP of that player?
