What version of DynamicEconomy are you using?:

0.9.2

Try to explain how to arrive at the problem:
1) Try to sell food with that food in hand
2) You can now sell infinite amount of that food

Players can use it for make infinite money and that's bad so why not add an option who can't let someone sell an item while he's holding something (or this item) in hand ?
