The Dwarfs learned long ago how to manipulate lava to their will. By building their furnaces directly above lava, they can smelt metals and bake goods for a long time without hauling buckets about. Now, you can too. Build your furnace directly above a lava block, then punch the furnace to ignite it. Punch it again to douse the flames. No fuel/buckets needed!
There is a minimal configuration file; the plugin will automatically generate a default config.yml file if none is present. Just drop the JAR into your plugins folder and reload.

Features |
---|
- Runs forever! No fuel/buckets needed.
- However, Forges can be required to operate with fuel, which is pulled from the input chest along with raw materials.
- Punching the furnace toggles it on/off.
- Dwarf Forges stack vertically. Lava only necessary under the lowest forge. (Lava is powerful, man!) Stacked forges can all access the same set of input/output chests.
- Input and output chests (left and right of forge, respectively, when facing it) supported. Double-size chests also supported. Additionally, you can "stack" horizontally to access nearby chests.
- Stacking limits are configurable (defaults: 3 high, 4 wide).
- Can change the cooking time: warp speed!
- Blocks in a short, 3-block radius from any Dwarf Forge are protected against fire from lava.
- Supports Permissions.
- Supports Metrics

ok i pushed an update.. works for me with 4 furnaces with or without fuel now.
had some issues before when the fuel was running out though.
you can get the jar via github or wait till it is available here.
The plugin doesn't work in my server ._.
Just tested myself, they worked, until I restarted to allow a forge to be 4 furnaces in height, now the just do nothing. I have tried turning allow exploit on to no avail.
yes, just checked.. my build forges are still working.. don't have time for a more extensive check, but that was the minecraft server code.
Let me know if you have issues... fixes will probably not come before a RB though.
Does this work with 1.4?
DwarfForge got a Minecraft Spotlight... thanks to @Mattmoss for creating the plugin.

@Kaiemi
yeah atm this is what we have, didn't look into the bukkit api latley but for quite some long time inventory events required SpoutPlugin.
I'm not planning anything big for a bukkit release atm.. as I have limited time.
The port to spout will be first a same feature port, afterwards we will see.
Having some slight issues with the plugin that I would appreciate some help with. Whenever we have the forges setup with input and output chests, the forges do not read from the input chest unless they are powered off then back on.
Here is a basic example: 1) Forges are powered on, input chest is empty 2) Put items into input chest, forges do not do anything 3) Turn forges off then back on, starts grabbing items from input chest 4) Runs correctly till input chest is empty 5) Go back to step 1.
Any help would be appreciated. Using CB 1.3.2-R1.0. No other plugins touch forges or chests.
EDIT: Just read about another person with this same problem via the github bug tracker and your response. Are there plans to add this in a future version (for Spout perhaps?).
@AwashOrphan4060
thanks for feedback about the fuel..
Any big changes will not go into the plugin anymore, sorry about that.
why does autosort require you to start the furnace again?
@DonRedhorse
When use fuel is true the forges shut off and have to be reactivated to start smelting again. I use your plugin in conjunction with AutoSort so its a little frustrating to keep turning the forge back on. Maybe if you could use redstone to turn it on and off that would be cool.
any feedback on using fuel?
I personally don't use that feature so I can't really test.
@finamenon
that should be fixed in the latest version
@VasVadum
hi, make sure you use the latest version.
1.3.1 some forges are spitting fuel out and some aren't turning on no matter how many times you hit them. Config set to 4/3 (4 across 3 tall)
xooo
oooo
oooo
The X won't turn on at all.
After smelting completed just one gold block with wood as fuel (wood planks).
*ooo
oxxo
oxxx
All stopped, when reactivated they spit fuel out at me. (the Xs that is, the * is null from the first bit of it not activating)
I'll see if I can get some logs and stuff of this and open a ticket when I get enough proper details.
Hey, 1.3.2 is coming out, please be sure you're ready. :3 Thanks!
http://www.minecraftforum.net/news/579-132-update-on-the-way-minetv-ep3-news-around-the-minecraft-world/ <- posted to give modders a change to prepare. So I'm really hoping people prepare so I can stay on top of things with my server.
With your latest verison of Dwarf forge, the forges are duplicating buckets ><
@VasVadum
yeah of course, it is up... I always forget that you need to click on the RAW thingy on the right side do download from github.
You'll be posting the update here right? I dunno how to download from that site. It's confusing.
new version going up as we speak / type... in the meantime https://github.com/dredhorse/DwarfForge/blob/master/etc/DwarfForge.jar
@VladimirMarenus
Sorken compiled a version in the normal thread in the forums http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/mech-dwarfforge-v-2-4-run-furnaces-on-lava-1-2-5r1.48896/page-4#post-1251872
I'm asking for a pull, otherwise I will make the necessary changes myself.
So there should be a new version up tomorrow.
