I would like to use courier as part of the ingame "rules and tutorial system".
I would love it if I could set up some messages like: - You have completed the tutorial type /pxapai to move to the next point (on completing the tutorial...) - Welcome to our server! (on joining the server for the first time)
Using these with a command or someway to trigger it.I'm not sure yet how to trigger as I didn't set up the "tutorial" yet, though I would like to use it.Maybe even region based ?
Or with switches/buttons which activate the sending of the message.
My view on this is that Courier needs to publish an API that other plugins (Tutorials) can use to send messages. Agree?
The ticket about messages to a group could also implement this.
/post g:default sends a letter that all members of the "default" group will receive, in perpetuity, once. That way all new players will get one.
Then when you promote players, they get a letter with information about their new rank, which includes tutorials.
I would be perfectly fine with a proper api =) Even though "protected maps" from the internal cleanup would be nice!
You could bind the command to a button using a plugin likeThis one, its my favorite even though its become inactive, it still works great. Just bind the command to a button and have the player push the button.
