Chat and Commands Replacements were updated to reflect latest changes in the Commander plugin (which is a stable part of CommandsEX). Expect ability to execute commands when players write special words into chat and scripting support!

Added join and leave messages grouping. No longer will your chat be flooded by numerous "Zathrus_Writer has joined the game." lines! They will all be condensed and a list of players who joined in a configurable time period will be conveniently outputted at once.

Added XMPP (Jabber) Chat Relay

Possibly the most important of them all, a working connection from your Bukkit server to an XMPP (Jabber) room can now be established. This means that you will be able to see all chat on your server without the need to actually start Minecraft at all! Also, you will be able to respond, since chat from the room automatically appears in the game chat as well!

Furthermore, users from XMPP (Jabber) that are listed as admins in CommandsEX config file will have permission to execute arbitrary command on the server. These commands will be executed in the same way as if they were typing them into the console itself.

Command words (regexes matching against the chat which execute commands) run the commands before the chat message is broadcast, instead of afterward. The commands are still run in response to what you say in chat, it just doesn't seem like it...
