Coffee Revamped
Coffee
Coffee is designed to bring two completely awesome things, coffee and minecraft, together.
Great, right? Why else would you download and install random plugins like this that add practically nothing to the gameplay? It's fun! :D
Coffee is crafted with a water bottle, a sugar and a cocoa bean. Brew it in a furnace to add some spice! Be warned, though, these strong flavors may give you some negative side effects.
All effects and spices that coffee can have are completely configurable, you just need to configure it.
Coffee isn't tested for earlier versions of the game before 1.7.9, however it should work. If anyone wants to test it and let me know if it work, that would be appreciated.
Note:
Between 1.2 (the original Coffee) and 2.0 (the revamped version) was quite a large change; Coffee was practically one of the first things I ever wrote in Java, and I've long been at work with it since then. 2.0 aims to provide a slightly larger and more functional version of the original, and is likely not close to compatible with the original- I started over when rewriting it.
Some documentation on configuring it and crafting it can be found on the Github page
Here are a few (perhaps outdated) videos of this (videos are of the old version, not 2.0!)
Showcase coming soon. If you want to make a video of this and get some views, be my guest! Just post the video in the comments, and I'll add it to a showcase one way or another.
Coffee is under the GPL v3 license. The source code for the plugin can be found on Github. If you want to help out with the development, shoot me a PM, or just make a new pull request on Github with your changes, I'll see it and get in touch.
Enjoy! Idea is by Smeller10.
that would actually be extremely helpful if you could, and i dont exactly know how to make crafting stuff with java for minecraft. are there any tutorial videos you could show me to help me with my plugin? i will also give you credit
@Livid_C0ffee
If you added my Coffee.jar to your class path, you would find there is no API ;) the plugin literally takes five minutes to make, in one class unlike my other plugins that tend to be monsters. I suggest you just create your own, but I mean, if you really want me to I guess I could just create a Coffee.getCoffee() method for you to hook into if you really want it..
Hi i am working on my plugin, called CoffeeBashX.
Can you tell me how to hook this plugin into mine using eclipse classic? Thanks.
@Bester111
Sounds like a great idea, I'll create different "subsets" of coffee. I'll add this into the next update, the next update is almost ready but unfortunately it's taken the backseat to other projects for quite a long time now.
absolutely love this pluggin. been using for about a month now and love it. Different ideas maybe. Hot Coco milk sugar and cocoa beans. Espresso possibly sugar water sugar beans and gunpowder? dont know but i have set a shop up on my server and everyone loves it. lol making tons of nuggets
@Alanox
As of yet, no. Check back soon and I will though :)
Do you have the source/GitHub?
@Axe2760
Sure, that would be awesome :)
@Vinefest
Dude, that's awesome! Thanks! Mind if i include that in the description?
I made a short review on this plugin.
Where is the source code?
Why not use a brewing stand and some of the unused potion types. You could have it brew with the bean and become a potent potion and then brew that with the sugar to get the coffee?
Nice job for an initial plugin! :D My first plugin was a chat formatting plugin, allowing simple color codes. This idea is more original.
@Kolgrath Fixed! Thank you. I am uploading the new file now, it will be available as soon as it's approved by BukkitDev.
@Kolgrath Thanks for the catch! Will look into it, it will be fixed by tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Glad you're enjoying it!
We're having a blast with it on our server. Thanks for making this.
Though we are seeing this error popping up in console each time people use the coffee:
@Swimmer1929 Sometimes the smaller plugins can be effective :P This is more of a test, than anything.
A plugin that does what it's supposed to do! What more can I say?
