What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.OP tries to open a chest
2.Someone with perm(chestprotect.*) tries to open chest
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Chest opens
Actual: Op/Selected user can't open chest and takes damage

I honestly have no idea why this isn't working.

It seems like that could be caused by plugins conflicting, could you list the plugins you have installed on the server?
