BOSEconomy
This plugin is no longer supported.
I have not updated this plugin in over a year, I barely even play Minecraft anymore, I've gotten a full-time job, and nobody else on the team is interested in developing it either. It's time to put it to rest. With the release of name changing in Minecraft 1.8, this plugin is no longer functional. Please do not use it anymore. The code is mediocre at best, and was written by a college student with no real-world programming experience. You really shouldn't want the source code. If somebody comes up with a script to convert BOSEconomy files to work with a different economy plugin, let me know via PM and I can include it on this page.
Thanks for the support I got while it lasted, and sorry for going silent and letting everyone down.

BOSEconomy is a simple, lightweight economy plugin. Every player owns an amount of currency and can make simple payments between one another. Read below to see all of the available features.
BOSEconomy stands for "Brotherhood of Slaughter Economy". The plugin was originally designed for our community's Minecraft server.
Features:
- Simplicity: install and go setup. Place the plugin in your folder and modify the files.
- Flexibility: Robust system able to accommodate the simplest of economy setups or the most complex economic setups to date.
- Reliability: Works with almost every Bukkit update without any need to update our plugin. ( no long waits for plugin fixes upon new Bukkit release )
- Standard: One of the leading Economy plugins. Backed by plugin API's such as Vault and Register. This means any plugin that uses vault or register as its backbone will make our plugin work with it without any need to change either persons code.
- Scalability: Control the functions of your econ based off of the size of your server base. With in game commands to modify almost every aspect of the plugin there is nothing you cant control.
- Ingenuity: Procedures put in place that provide the server owner with the "Sky is the limit" mindset. With options and controls to almost every aspect of the plugin there are hundreds of ways to make an econ system.
- Dependable: This plugin is constantly monitored and maintained. One of the most annoying factors to server owners is when a plugin loses support because of the owners disinterest in Minecraft. That will not occur with this as my communities server is very popular and proves to be a cornerstone for our gaming needs.

I've fixed the problems with long loading times for the next update, among a few other minor things. I'll be working on command block support next. As SQL is clearly leading in the poll, it will be the major feature I work on once I'm satisfied with these smaller releases.
Edit: Just to clarify, the update isn't released yet. I'm still testing it as I work on the command blocks.
@_AuGs_Reaper
If you used default settings, then all new players are being put in a bracket named "default". Use the "/econ bracket set" command on that bracket to set "interval" to "5 minutes" and "value" to "5.00".
/econ bracket set default interval 5 minutes
/econ bracket set default value 5.00
If your players are in another bracket, then replace "default" with the name of that bracket.
@soggyrooferdad
The bracket you have there is paying players 60 units of currency at the rate of the default interval. The default interval is in settings.txt, as the setting "default-bracket-interval". Make sure you're setting it to "1 hour".
G'day,
Forgive me if this question has been asked a million times but I'm trying to BOSEconomy to pay my players an hourly wage. I have been through forums, watched countless videos but to not avail. This is what i have in my brackets.txt folder,
default { type wage settings { minimum-multiplier -1.0 interval maximum-multiplier -1.0 remove-member allow bank-join deny player-join deny bank-leave deny maximum-value -1.0 master permission-nodes player-leave deny maximum-members -1 change-multiplier deny excluded true online-mode true value 60.0 add-member allow can-change-value false can-rename false minimum-value -1.0 disabled false } members { soggyrooferdad 1.0 } }
It is completely different to all others i have seen. PLEASE help. Cheers
Hey, is there any chance at command block support soon? It seems like it would work but I get this message in console "blocking" it:
[INFO] BOSEconomy Warning: Command submitted by unrecognized sender type 'CraftBlockCommandSender'!
I've tried all sorts of workarounds, sudo'ing a mod, making a fake account with infinite money and sudoing that, etc... BOSEconomy will simply not pay a player through a command block.
Its a small issue though, thanks for everything!
I use to use Iconomy and I had it set up to give the players $5.00 for every 5 minutes you are on the server. How would I set this up to do that?
@RiotShielder
why would you go from good to worse?
Is it possible to convert from CraftConomy to BOSEconomy?
Its have support mysql?
@HitmanPL47
MySQL for example.. :3
As far as I'm aware, the plugin is fully functional for Minecraft v1.6.2.
@KaleFaolan
I don't think this is possible to do until Bukkit supports permissions for offline players.
@HitmanPL47
Sorry, I wasn't aware that so many people were dealing with such long loading times. I'll try to optimize the database code for the next update.
@Secant
I can also confirm that BOSECONOMY takes a long time to load. The 'database' file is a huge ass text file.. of course it will take long to load. You'll need to either break down the file somehow so it doesn't all get loaded or use a more efficient database..
Question!
Has it been implemented yet to have brackets link up with perms groups so that we can players based on their perms groups. I'm wanting to give each level of staff a different pay rate and just setting a bracket to a perms group would make it like 500 times easier o_O
@x_clucky
Uh we update plugin often. We have been using it since 1.5.1 came out.
@Atomicbeast101 @Atomicbeast101
You got 37k players in less than a week? Jeezus...
@uSoc_lifehome
Nothing at time of this post is bukkit anything ready for 1.6.1.
Is it available for 1.6.1 update ?
Is there a way to have different economies for different worlds. Im have been having trouble
I agree here I use bose and it's the only thing slowing down start up time. You need to make a way to remove inactive players
@Secant
I have over 41k accounts. Im pretty sure its the plugin :P
Yes I am sure that BosEconomy is the only plugin for us that takes so long to load.
We have rougly over 20,000 accounts, we are a 100 pop server. I can't imagine those really huge servers with 200+ active
@Atomicbeast101 I have a setup with roughly 6000 accounts that loads in a few seconds. Are you sure that BOSEconomy is the only plugin that's taking so long to load? I can add timers to the loading process if this is still a problem, so we can see if a particular part is stalling it. I can also try to replicate it if you want to PM me a zipped copy of your BOSEconomy files.
@DanishDude93 @JJ298 This is a somewhat major feature that is competing with SQL in the current poll, so be sure to vote for it if you haven't already. I can't say for sure how long it will be before I get to working on this, as I still have a lot of cleaning up to do first.
@merlin4life See the reply to AtomicBeast101. As for purging inactive players, I might add something for this after I've addressed some of the bug tickets and have released a stable version of the plugin.
