Backpacks
Backpacks
What is it?
Backpacks is a plugin that provides each player with a backpack in which they can store items. You can configure how much space each player's backpack has, as well as other aspects of the backpack, using permissions (see below). I have recently added SQL support that enables the backpacks to work cross-server if you use servers linked by bungeecord, lilypad etc. A recent addition to the plugin is that if a player with a backpack has a full inventory and they pickup an item, it goes into their backpack.
Permissions
backpack.1 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x1
backpack.2 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x2
backpack.3 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x3
backpack.4 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x4
backpack.5 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x5
backpack.6 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x6
backpack.keepOnDeath Allows players to bypass the config value for dropping items on death.
Commands
User Commands
/backpack Opens the backpack you have permission for!
Admin (OP) Commands
/backpack [Player name] Opens a player's backpack.
Configuration
Drop-On-Death
If this is set to true the content of the players backpack will drop on death. If the player had the permission 'backpack.keepOnDeath', this would not affect them.
Title
This is the title on the top of each backpack. On the example backpack it is "Your Backpack". You can set a title for each size of backpack (1 to 6).
DisabledWorlds
Here you can define the worlds in which players cannot open their backpacks incase you have, for example, a creative world.
Please note!
I have now renamed the 'MCPacks' folder to 'Backpacks' just to be of more sense, so if you're looking for the folder it will now be called 'Backpacks' - I will make the plugin rename it for you ;)
@Siggi89
Sure, I may as well update to 1.7.9.
@rb2759 So why don't you update this for Bukkit 1.7.9? It's been out for a while now. I made the move to the newer version a week after it was released. I waited long enough. If you're not going to update this yourself, why don't you post a link to the source code so I can do it?
@rb2750
Just as a quick reminder, it's quite likely that it isn't working for most of you because you are not using the same bukkit as this is. (1.7.2-R0.3)
"Now 1.7 and BUG FREE!"
Really? If it's bug free why does it crash my entire server whenever someone opens their backpack?
It is not created config :(
This comes up often. Also my console if upside down so start at the top
Whenever I open another player's backpack, it duplicates that and puts it in my backpack then deletes what once was in my backpack. What the heck? Why does it turn my backpack with their stuff?
It is not created config :(
It's not creating the default configuration...
@doomlordking
By this error, it looks like you are using an old backpacks config. I forgot to tell everyone this, but, you CANNOT use the old backpacks config as they are COMPLETELY incompatible. The old code of storing was so bad that I just decided to eliminate it.
Yep, 3.6 crashes the shit out of my server as well. 3.5 seems to work fine.
you can add in version 1.5.2
same here with server crashing with backpack 3.6
took me a wile to figure out, as i was fumbling with an other plugin at that time..
back on 3.5 running fine
Everytime a player on my server typed /backpack it crashed the server http://pastebin.com/eGyGS0VV
I use the last 3.6 BACKPACK but why users have size 9x6 when i give them permission backpack.1
Could you add 'pages'? So you can have more than 1 inv :) Thanks!
@greaperc4
Alright, I'll add this in the next version :)
Hi, NICE plugin!
btw, could you also make a admin permission like: backpack.admin would be very handy, instead of giving admins OP..
thanks

@dropposite
This shouldn't happen, I don't believe that could happen. It's never happened with any of the tests that I've done.
