MineVideo

When recording videos of your Minecraft experience, you will often face problems like:
bad video quality
- huge files that have to be compressed afterwards
- bad ingame performance
- expensive, limited or complicated tools
- watermarks
Here are the minimum stats you MUST have in order to get any kind of decent results:
Laptop:
Minimum:
At LEAST 4GB of DDR3 RAM
- At LEAST an Intel Core i5-2430M
Recommended:
At LEAST 6GB of DDR3 RAM
- At LEAST an Intel Core i5-2500M
Desktop:
Minimal:
At LEAST 3GB of DDR3 RAM
- At LEAST an Intel Core i5-2000
Recommended:
At LEAST 4GB+ of DDR3 RAm
- At LEAST an Intel Core i7 (you might get away with a high i5)
Real systems:
1) Laptop
6GB of ram
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 520 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), 2.4GHz
Good to great quality
2) Unknown
8GB ram
AMD FX 8120
radeon hd 6870
Unknown quality
(Note, that you must have reasonably high stats to use this mod.)
Please note that even if you do not have the exact minimum system requirements, you can still run it, however you will most likely experience lots of lag.
MineVideo enables you to record ingame footage with the touch of one button. It's as easy as taking a screenshot and the resulting video files are small enough to quickly upload them to YouTube. (Usually around 20 - 200MBs, depending on the resolution of the recording) IT REQUIRES FORGE!
When you are in the game, simply press F4 to start the recording. A plop will be heard, and you are recording! To stop recording, press F4 again. A message will appear that shows the filename of the video and audio you've just created. (NOTE: Audio is still beta, it may or may not work, depending on your system)
The videos can then be found in the videos folder in your minecraft directory.

When you press F6, a new GUI appears, with options for MineVideo, such as video file output, and audio file output.

Installation Process:
Install Forge
Put the zip in the mods folder
Now compatible with magiclauncher! :)

Fraps: 1 Minute 1920x1080, 60 FPS = 3,95 GB!

The reason why you're getting bad framerates isn't my coding. It's the fact that Java runs in a VM, so it's quite difficult to interface with more than one core.

SunSamurai Apr 20, 2013 at 02:06 UTC - 0 likesWhy is the file-size nearly 40MB? Seems rather large!
Anyway, this is a nice idea for an all-in-one package and ease of use, but the preformance vs FRAPS is horrid. I set my FRAPS to 25FPS recording and slap in some mods and shaders to make the work difficult. It get 20FPS average. With this mod Im getting roughly 5FPS. This is attrubuted to doing compression at the same time, I understand. Is there a way for mods to access different cores in a system? Say have the compression done on cores 3 and 4 while minecraft is on 1 and 2. This would bring it within FRAPS performance while having the major advantage of compression at the same time.
Right now I cant help but continue to use FRAPS due to this. It is much more useful to get triple 20FPS than 5FPS, even if I have to compress it myself after. Hard drives are cheaper than a new CPU/Motherboard.

Yep!
I didn't implement any FPS boost. It's still too buggy.

Thanks anyways! I'll be looking forward to using this! If its fine, would you like me to promote your mod in my videos?
Also, could you provide microphone support?

Most likely not. Forge uses too many hooks that I find immensely useful.
