Advanced server protection
ZeroProxy is a new bukkit plugin developed to completly stop spamers, hackers, bots and other pests that can annoy the users on your server. Using ZeroProxy will make the life of scammers, hackers and other pests a lot harder on your server, since they will be forced to use their real ip when trying to access other people accounts, spamming, etc.
Tor protection
Some plugins similar to ZeroProxy do not protect your server from hackers or griefers using the tor network to hide theirs real I.P. address. This plugin completly disables the use of the TOR network when accessing your server.
Advanced port identification
Aside from using public lists to stop users that connect through proxy, ZeroProxy scans the users while they connect to your server. If a proxy is deteced, they are kicked from the server until they connect without proxy.
Permissions
It is possible to bypass ZeroProxy checks for certain users or groups by assigning the permissions zeroproxy.bypass. When a user has this permission, no checks are performed at all and proxys and tor are allowed. This is useful to solve possible (but very uncommon) false positives regarding trusted users on your server that access from internet cafes or from school.

Posted Jan 3, 2015This plugin blocks proxies on DNS blacklists. It works on 1.8 as far as I can tell, it's blocked a few users on proxy from joining.

It is really nice to hear that this plugin has stopped attacks to your server!
I'm working in the next version, with an even more advanced detection system, including more open proxy lists and better scaning.

The current release should just work on 1.5 without any problem, however I have not tested it. Any feedback on this is appreciated.

Using proxy lists and port scaning. Users joining with an IP address from a known list of open Proxys are kicked automatically.
If the user is not in the list, then the plugin runs a port scan to common proxy ports in the user ip address.
If the user is found to have a common proxy port open to internet, then it is 99% sure its using a proxy.
This method is not bulletproof, some users can get through it, however since this detects almost all proxys, it is able to stop paradigm and pwnage attacks really easy.
We have tested this plugin for months in our server before publishing it, and it stopped all kind of attacks and trolls.

Posted Mar 18, 2013The pluggin works great and has stopped most of what i believe to be pwnage attacks, I tested paradigm on my own server and quite a few users got through, and I added most of the proxies used in test to the config. Could we get the list updated for more proxies anytime soon? I will help donate to the cause.

Thanks for your feedback. I know Vault, however I developed this plugin because my own server was under proxy attacks, and some users got their accounts stealed through proxy.
My server is using PermissionsEx so I hooked PEX and got my server protected ASAP.
I'll look at hooking Vault in the near future, maybe for the 0.5.

Posted Mar 14, 2013Vault is an extremely good plugin to have all economy/permissions setup through. It handles these so that if you hook your plugin into vault, it'll allow the server administrator to simply use whichever permission plugin they wish. (Same with economy)
