A very basic plugin that you can have a bit of fun with. This is my first plugin and will be for a while i would hope. I really want to improve this plugin so it is the best possible plugin i can produce. I am still in school, therefore can't produce updates very regularly but will do my best to edit the plugin when i can. The only purpose of this plugin is 1. For me to learn 2. To keep some people busy ingame. So i hope you will check this plugin out, thanks -Cjegames __________________________________________________________________________
WHAT I'M WORKING ON
At the moment i am doing my best to code a Present feature, please bare in mind i am working on another plugin as well but will try and work out the code for this feature. Then i will be working on a /Friend system where you can add friends!

Commands:
/Hello This will give you a nice greeting.
/Boom This will reply Bam back to you.
/YFAuthor This will tell you my in game name.
/Bye This will say goodbye to you, make sure to type this in before you leave the server!
/Bam This will do the opposite of /Boom! This will reply Boom to you!
/Pong You know /ping... there wasn't a /pong that worked, now there is! This will reply Ping to you!

Posted Nov 5, 2015Hello. Nice idea with the presents. I'll help you out a bit if you need it, seeing that you're new.
Try this:
if(cmd.getName().equalsIgnoreCase("present")) {
ItemStack cookie = new ItemStack(Material.COOKIE, 1);
player.getInventory().addItem(cookie);
}
Hopefully that'll help. Switch out cookie and the number after that for whatever you want.

Yes i am doing the instanceof player code,thanks anyway. I am going to try and add a friending system, a present system, and possibly a npc that follows you around!

Posted Nov 1, 2015So far these are just basic response texts when you type a command. Though some servers may enjoy this feature, I think you need to add a little bit more functionality. For your first plugin, you're off to a great start :D Here's a tip (Don't know if you're doing this or not), when you run a command, check if it's a Player first before you cast it. Ex:

Posted Nov 1, 2015Could you add a /present (PLAYER) command?
This would maybe give the other person some diamonds and stuff and greet them with a message saying: "Here is a present! Enjoy it!"
If you could do that that would be awesome!
