Wireless Redstone

I'm working on a port to Sponge, the "new bukkit" since the b.project has been blown off by mojang. More informations coming...

Coming to 1.8

  • Easely transmit redstone signal from a transmitter to a receiver!
  • There's no delay, the signal is transmitted immediatly!
  • You can set a delay if you want!
  • Many commands to control the plugin and get informations about your wireless network!
  • Special admin commands and permissions to allow players to use the plugin or not!

I need your help!

Do you want to see the plugin in your favorite language / native language? It will be possible in the next version. The process is very simple for you and me, you just have to go on this website, and fill the language of your choice :) The languages that are partly / totally created will be added in the releases, and will be updated one each release!

Upcoming features. ( Or planned )

  • Add support for WorldEdit :
    • The plugin will prevent you to destroy a region which contain a Wireless Sign, or it will remove it from the config.
  • Add support for Dynmap :
    • I don't exactly know how to add it, but I will probably allow to see every Wireless Point on dynmap.
  • Add new receiver types:
    • The clock receiver : If active, it will regularily turn on/off. If not active, it will simply be off.
    • The switcher receiver : Changes state when the channel is powered. I mean : If the channel is off and the Sreceiver is off, turn on the channel would turn on the Sreceiver. To turn the Sreceiver off, you would have to turn off and turn on again the channel.

I'm not sure to add these features, but I put them here :

  • Add a limit of wireless signs per player (probably by permissions). See this.
  • Add support for a few plugins:
  • Please note that we're doing our best to make WirelessRedstone bugfree, it still may contain a few bugs and such.

  • Thanks a lot to Wmisiedjan, the creator of the plugin. He left the project more than a year ago, and since that moment I'm the developper of the plugin. I made big changes but some of his code is still in the plugin. He was also a great guy because the code was open, that's why I could take it and modify it. Thank you mate ;)
  • Thank you a lot to bb-generation who optimized the configuration part, and update the plugin to maven.
  • Thanks to my beta-testers (cannonb4ll, s32ialx, and Kervinou), your help is great!
  • Thanks to all the persons who help me to improve this plugin, and report bugs.

Will answer to y'all with this :

There's something missing in the minecraft code since 1.8. A portion which allowed the bukkit API to check if a sign is powered by redstone has been deleted (don't ask me why, mojang did). As a result, the plugin CAN'T work. So my work is not on this plugin, but will be on the bukkit API : if I can find a way to reimplement what's been removed, then this plugin will work again.

There's something else. Since it's a portion of code missing in the minecraft code, it's likely to be the same with sponge.

So stay tuned. My work will be on the bukkit API, not on this plugin specifically.

(Why can't we pin a comment seriously?)

When do you expect to have a 1.8 plugin functional? Because half my server is powered by this mod.

Yeah, I had re-read your permissions post and saw that, so I got a permissions plugin like you had stated, works now :) Thank you for your help :)

Vault is not a permissions plugin. This is a hook, meaning that you must have a PPlugin to go with it. Otherwise, Vault will say to my plugin "I have no permissions plugin" and then my plugin will say "That's okay, i'm gonna work with the default system : op system".

So you should download a PPlugin, i recommend you PermissionsEX ;)

I downloaded vault to use with it. I'm not sure if it's the right one as i've always used the plugins own permission in the past.

I re-downloaded Vault and Wireless Redstone in an attempt to fix it and it seems to have worked. Now to wait for 1.8 :) Sorry for the trouble :)

No way you're not wasting my time i'm here for that.

What permissions plugin are you using?

I'm probably missing something very simple here, but no matter what i seem to do in the permissions folder, only op's can place transmitters/receivers. I have "create ..." and "remove ..." all set to true. I'd like it so you dont need to be op to do this. Could someone kindly help me out as i'm sure this is a small problem and don't want to waste the author's time on this matter.

    Thank you! :)

    @woeterman94: Go

That's exactly the point.. The API can't do it. As far as I saw with md_5, this is due to the code of minecraft 1.8.1, nothing we can't do for the moment.

Would you help me to translate the plugin in different languages?
