Description

What it is

This plugin allows you to add the Doctor Who Vortex Manipulators to your server.

This currently allows you to teleport by direct line teleportation to the block you are looking at up to 100 blocks away or to throw an Ender Pearl even when you don't have one.

To craft a Vortex Manipulator, the recipe is an Eye of Ender in the top left and bottom right corners then Ender Pearls in the top right and bottom left corners, then a watch in the center with diamonds above and bellow that along with leather to the right and left of it. Recipe

To use it you can:
a) Hold it in your hand and look at a block then right click to teleport to that block directly or shift and right click and you will throw an Ender Pearl.
or
b) Type /VortexManipulator Equip without wearing a chestplate and holding a Vortex Manipulator in your hand then it will be equipped into your chest slot. From there you can left click three times in under a second with nothing in your hand and you will teleport directly to the block you are looking at within 100 blocks or shift and left click three times in under a second and you will thrown an Ender Pearl.

All commands start with /VortexManipulator or /VM

Help - Shows the help and equip commands along with explaining how to use the Vortex Manipulator
Equip - Equips the Vortex Manipulator so you don't have to be holding it when you want to use it. This does require that you're hands are empty though

Permissions

VortexManipulator.Equip: Allows you to equip the Vortex Manipulator
VortexManipulator.Craft: Allows you to craft the Vortex Manipulator
VortexManipulator.EnderPearl: Allows you to shift and use the Vortex Manipulator to throw an Ender Pearl
VortexManipulator.Teleport: Allows you to use the Vortex Manipulator for a direct teleport
VortexManipulator.FreeUse: Allows you to not have to use any fuel to use the Vortex Manipulator's abilities.

Config

Name: The name that appears on the crafted Vortex Manipulator. Supports color codes with &#.
Fuel: The id of the fuel that the Vortex Manipulator consumes when someone uses it. Default is redstone dust. Set to 0 if you don't want it used
Consume:
- EnderPearl: The amount of fuel that is consumed when someone uses the Ender Pearl capability of the Vortex Manipulator
- Teleport: The amount of fuel that is consumed when someone uses the direct teleport capability of the Vortex Manipulator

I get the same bug as jacob_vejvoda.

Update this plugin. Or at least give management of the plugin to someone else. I would be happy to update this for you.

Jogy34 Do you think you can add custom sounds like you did with the TARDIS-Xern plugin?Maybe add a sound in the TARDIS-Xern resource pack? Also could you can do the same think with the Sonic Screwdriver, and the Who Regeneration plugin? Thanks!

A teleport to coordinates feature that has a delay on it? For the time travel aspect.

BaconCraftGaming made a point. There should be a way of saving your current location for later. That way you could have a home set or base set and be able to travel around and return there at a later date. One way of doing this would be to use a command like /vortex manipulator save location (x) (y) (z) or /vortex manipulator save location

Also there should be a way that you can teleport to a location using a command like /vortex manipulator warp(or tp) (x) (y) (z)

I am aware that this could cause problems with dying when you spawn at that location but that would add an interesting mix to the plugin and a way of taking risks and having fun.

This plugin is amazing and i await future update and will notify you when i get an idea if you wish.

I would actually love a saves system for this plugin. What you could do is when a player left clicks while holding the Vortex Manipulator and sneaking, a chest GUI opens up with 3 or so blocks in it as well as a red wool and green wool in the bottom right corner. Each block represents a save location (Besides the wool.). By right clicking a block, it saves your current location. If you left click a block, it selects it. From here, you can press the green wool block to travel to the location, or press the red wool block to delete it. You could add a command like /vmsaves to control it without a gui. e.g. /vmsaves add [save name] [coords (optional. if not given saves current location)].

Why did you not make a world change or a save system to teleport to an another world? You can do a save system with 3 save max.

PS it's just a sugest.

That is odd. I have plugins on my server that successfully detect players right-clicking with empty hands. It is possible. First one that comes to mind is MCMMO.

You have to make sure that you have the fuel or have the FreeUse permission node(that is only in V.0.2 which hasn't been accepted by an admin yet but you can find it here for now). For right clicking you have to hold the vortex manipulator in your hand and then look at a block within 100 blocks and you will be teleported to it or sneak and right click to throw an Ender Pearl. Then if you equip it you have to left click three times in under a second to achieve the same effects.

Hmm. I have your Tardis plugin and this plugin installed. And I cannot seem to get this mod to work. I can craft the manipulator but right clicking and left clicking in Survival and Creative just doesn't do anything. I am running the latest Bukkit Recommend build for 1.4.7 I love DW and I really want to see this mod work!

possible, sure, and for whatever reason bukkit doesn't register right clicks if you don't have anything in your hand if you are right clicking air.
