Hi! So some months ago I got this to work on 1.14 by switching to paper. I couldn't believe my issue had been that.
Now MC has updated to 1.16. I've tested this plugin with 1.16.1 Paper but it seems that it no longer works. Items and announcements work but the actual teleporting part of the plugin no longer does. Are you still developing this plugin at all and do you have any intentions to update?
If not do you have any tips on how I could try to update it? What validator tools I need etc?
Sorry for the delay. I have just tested on 1.14.4 (PaperMC) and it works fine for me. If you post your server logs and plugin config I may be able to help you out.
Also, do you get any errors in the chat or as an on-screen message?
I used a book of ender on the waypoint; the lapis structure. It gives me a response of Waypoint activated. When I then make a redstone waypoint of the same signature (all glass blocks) nothing happens. I have given myself xp to level 30 and tried activating the eye of ender on it receiving a must click on center of waypoint popup, but when i do, nothing happens. I have in the past modified the config file to attempt a flat use of xp instead of a distance formula.

Now this is strange since this log does the same for many other plugins, which work completely. As well if the plugin was disabled by some automatic process then why do components of the plugin work?

Thank you for the help! This plugin is awfully unique and I want to have a teleportation system that offers a range of flexibility with an rpg feel.
I would love it if this could be updated to version 1.8.8 as I am about to update my server. I love having the warps where people can make as many as they want but if someone else finds the right address, then they could get raided. Makes it challenging to find blocks that are hard to get just to make a warp somewhere. Please continue updating this plugin. Love it :)
There is definitely a problem on my end. Minecraft's EXP system was updated, so the math is not entirely correct. This will be fixed in the next release.
I've decided to rewrite TeleportationRunes from scratch. Please comment with your suggestions for added features. I can't promise I'll add them all, but I will take all suggestions into consideration.
I briefly tried the plugin on 1.8, and it seemed to work. There is not currently a setting for restricting the number of teleporters a player can create.
This plugin seems like, con gratulations! Two questions please: the plugin is works on 1.8+? And can I setting in config file, one player how many teleporter can build? Thanks.

I also plan to change the format of the waypoints.dat file to something human readable (probably JSON). I will try to make this an automatic conversion, but I make no promises.

It seems I can make the waypoints but teleporters wont work nor will the scrolls even when attuned

Mutiworld support would be really cool or an option to have it teleport to other worlds at cost of the portal.
possibly an Item cost instead of exp.
adding colored glass and colored wool as teleport address locations
possibly an pressure plate or red stone activated one so it can be use for traps
putting in a random combo takes you to a Void world.. "discouraging people using trial and error to find other peoples way-point pads"

I'm having a minor prob with people using telepads under 10 blocks away the plugin gives the player exp instead of consuming it
