Stickman's Items Rebuilt
Description
My first plugin made with no tutorials, but I give credit to fellow programmer skepter for helping to debug the program. The plugin adds many custom items to the game, as well as a few commands to manage them. All items can be enabled or disabled from the config file, and you can even create your own if you're familiar with item IDs! (Though this system is still experimental and improvements are being worked on.) This plugin has been a passion project of mine for many years now and I hope you enjoy using it as much as I have enjoyed working on it!
Items:
- Dirt Sword (A very weak sword made from dirt - can break instantly.)
- Slayer (A very powerful sword made from a diamond block and a nether star.)
- Cheater TNT (A cheap source of TNT - can't be used in most custom crafting recipes.)
- Nametag (A recipe for the vanilla nametag.)
- Saddle (A recipe for the vanilla saddle.)
- Death Strike (A very powerful bow bound with a diamond block.)
- Emerald Pickaxe (A strong pickaxe made from emeralds.)
- Slap Stick (A high-knockback weapon to counter mobs. Doesn't work on players.)
- Cane (A high-knockback weapon weaker than the slap stick. Works on players.)
- Diamond-Encrusted Cane (A combination weapon with decent damage and high knockback.)
- Wither Skull Gun (An easily spammed weapon which fires weak but effective wither skulls.)
- Bolt Slinger (An electrified bow which sends out plenty of lightning but can hurt the wielder.)
- Spammy Bow (A vanilla bow with all cooldown removed.)
- Smoke Wand (An item which lets you surround yourself in smoke.)
- Herobrine Set (A set of diamond armor enchanted with impossibly high levels.)
- Air Slicer (An axe which can generate wood indefinitely until it breaks.)
- Healing Wand (An item which can instantly restore the user's health - but is easily misplaced.)
- Book of Dedications (A list of thanks to those who have helped me with the plugin.)
- Baseball Bat (Knockback, damage, and no diamonds needed! Will break soon enough though.)
- Gun (Pretty self explanatory - ammo required. Better start farming creepers.)
- Camo Mines (Self-hiding land mines. Trigger when stepped on or detonated. Can be defused.)
- Mooshroom Budder (A friend-requested meme item - a piece of gold that can spawn mooshrooms.)
- Bomb Defuser (Can remotely defuse all your own bombs, or defuse another player's individually.)
- Plastic Explosives (A powerful remote-detonated explosive that can't be removed without defusing.)
- Detonator (Used to detonate your own bombs - even vanilla TNT.)
- Ultimate Emerald (Grants immense strength, but robs you of drops. Can annihilate other players.)
- Ultimate Melon Slice (A friend-requested meme item - a melon that can spawn villagers.)
- Grenade Launcher (A rapid-fire, high damage weapon - if you can afford to stockpile ammo.)
- Nuke (A multiblock structure capable of large scale damage including fire, searing, and fallout.)
- Incendiary (A remote-detonated bomb that sets the surrounding landscape ablaze.)
- Water Bomb (A remote-detonated bomb which converts grass and dirt to water.)
- X-Ray (An item which lets the user see a short distance into the ground - but makes it unbreakable.)
- Fall-Through Block (A self-hiding block which teleports anyone who steps on it below it.)
- Blasting Cap (A small, controlled explosive which drops all broken blocks and can be laid out in lines.)
- Laser Rifle (A piercing, long-range weapon capable of multikills. Chews through redstone like candy.)
- Force Bomb (An explosive which scatters blocks and launches mobs.)
- Compressed Coal (Lets you convert massive amounts of coal into a diamond.)
- Thieves' Staff (Lets you pickpocket other players from behind. They'll be alerted however!)
- Knife (A cheap, single-use, high-damage weapon which can instakill from behind.)
- Smoke Grenade (Sends out a puff of smoke and can leave another player smoking.)
- Radiation Suit (An incredibly endgame armor set granting the user near immortality.)
- Signal Flare (A marker used to let the player designate areas for air strikes.)
- Radio (An item used to call in an air strike wherever the player has placed flares.)
- Mining Laser (Lets you bore through the earth easily in a short range.)
- End Key (Provides the player with portable access to their ender chest inventory.)
Mystical Items:
- Invulnerability Potion (Makes the player completely immortal for 30 seconds.)
- Levitator (Grants the player creative flight if the server has flying enabled.)
- Holy Hand Grenade (A throwable explosive which can wipe out a massive area.)
- Cataclyst (Extremely rare - Capable of decimating everything within 300 blocks. No players in the same dimension will be spared - including creative mode players and spectators, and of course the one who triggered it.)
End Changes:
The End now contains "Chaos Blocks" - flickering blocks with highly unpredictable effects when broken. Most of the time these will be a detriment to the player. Blowing them up, striking them with lightning, setting them on fire... however every so occasionally, when the stars align, the player may be rewarded for their boldness with grand gifts. An inventory full of diamonds. Access to the admin inventories. A Mystical item. These blocks generate in the End Highlands, and are only generated as players load new terrain, meaning minimal impact on the server's performance. They are more abundant when buried or on the bottoms of islands than on the surface, and can only be broken by hand. Good luck!
Commands, permissions, and arguments

Plugin review! (Special Thanks To lightning_guru For Making It!)
Finally, after years of development, it is done. Hours and hours have been poured into this, but this project still meant a lot to me and I didn't want to see it fall into neglect. The plugin has been carefully rebuilt line-by-line from the ground up, a venture which saw over 100,000 lines of code optimized, refactored, and made more modular and easy to change in the future. In the process I've updated the plugin for 1.20, done some rebalancing, and taken advantage of new features offered in the game's newer updates. A few new features taking advantage of the far more heavily optimized performance have been added, and I'm truly glad to be able to share this with anyone still interested. The plugin runs on Paper, and despite the new name is still the same plugin you all know and love, just built back faster, slimmer, and far more robust under the hood. No more ignored null pointers, more stable saving to disc when the server restarts, and overall just a better player and admin experience. Enjoy!
Github page is being taken down. Too many things are broken by the newer versions to continue supporting all of them, and I don't have the time or the patience to fix everything. I may simply begin support on this page for the latest version in the near future. In the meantime though, a large update will be dropping soon. Don't miss it!
Version 8.0.0, the Overhaul Update, is finally out. With it comes several bugfixes, many rebalancing changes, and a few under-the-hood optimizations. In addition, I have begun the process of making a rewrite of the plugin for later versions of Minecraft. I am not sure how I want to post them yet, since I don't want them to get picked up by the auto-updater for this plugin. I'll figure something out though. Soon the plugin will be 100% supported on each individual Bukkit release from 1.8 upwards with all the modern features. This rewrite will take time though, and I can't promise the revised versions will not have some bugs. That's where you guys come in. Anyone running the new versions once they drop, it would be greatly appreciated if you could post a comment with any bugs you may find.
Sorry for not checking this page as often as the bukkitdev page. The recipe images went down because of the shutdown of silentspy.net. I am still looking for an alternative. As for cobwebster, I am sorry that the vid is so long. We really wanted to go in-depth with everything. Lastly, fr8zzy, thank you for taking the time to write that kind comment. I'm impressed as well with how much this plugin has grown, and I hope it will continue to make minecraft servers more enjoyable for many updates to come. Your comment truly just made my day.
@VampireDiaries
I believe the plugin should be completely 1.9 compatible, but I am not responsible or any glitches caused by 1.9. I am a strict protestor of the 1.9 combat changes, and have personally never even downloaded anything past version 1.8.1.
It is possible to version 1.9?
@Eremtheminer
I'm aware. Silentspy.net got hacked and is down. Watch the new tutorial we upload tomorrow to see the recipes.
Images broken
WOOHOO!
Stickman's Items is, at the time I am posting this, the 526th most downloaded plugin on Bukkit! Thank you so much to all who have downloaded my plugin, and I'll try to keep those updates coming! Can we hit the top 500? Happy crafting everyone!
EDIT: Now number 184! What happened guys? THANK YOU! HAPPY CRAFTING! I am going to work all day on a celebratory update!
The data update is out!
Version 6.2.1 has been released,containing a new item, a new feature, the repair of data being saved between server restarts, and the repair of custom items. Happy crafting!
Sorry about the disappearance of my comments, everyone. I was temporarily banned from bukkitdev after an uploading error. On a brighter note, however, I have released 6.1.2, the EXTERMINATION UPDATE. It fixes thousands of lag inducing, server-crashing bugs. It also makes changes to the nuke, such as fires and larger, rounded explosions. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you delete the Stickmans_items folder in your plugins folder, of the bug fixes WILL NOT BE APPLIED! Happy crafting!
The crafting recipe images aren't showing on this page, or is that just me? I just see text...
Where did all the crafting recipe images on this page go? I just see text now. Used to see the images fine. I was just getting ready to install the plugin to try it out. Thanks.
@Stickman561
Good plugin, just spams the console from PlayerMoveEvent, PlayerInteractEvent and other interaction events - if you could fix that and the occasional lag spikes (not when using the plugin) that would be awesome.
Thanks, - James
Hi, i know you're busy, but could you make it so that if player a places a bomb, player b cannot detonate it using his detonator? That would really help!
Its jayblackbird or ragingunicorn u said we could discuss this send me the ip to ur server and we can talk if its not to much problem or we can do it on Skype I think I will send u a message on skype
Hey Stickman, would you like a more short and to the ponit tutorial/install guide vid?
@Stickman561
Ah, thank you for getting back to me, that is really too bad about the error. I actually ended up removing the plugin and recreating some of the items myself. You still get credits as we never would have thought of these on our own. Thank you
I really enjoy this plugin but it causes a lot of errors with my server.
This is the error: http://pastebin.com/KnE3M7n3
using spigot 1.8 r0.1
the important plugins are: Essentials, PermissionsEx, Stickmans_items, ProtocolLibs, InsaneMobs, GriefPrevention
the error causes a bit of lag and sometimes times us out.
