Sign Inventory Saver

Table of Contents

Do you need a way to save your inventory then load them again later, but want signs to do the work? Then this plugin will do the job!

Usage

Just put a sign anywhere and follow this format:

line 1: Sign Title (Configurable, default is Kit Station)

line 2: A Number

line3: Save/Load

These signs are an example of how to make your first signs:

Sign Tutorial

Players are allowed to save up to the number you specify in their permission. For example, you would give players the permission node sis.limit.10 if you want them to be able to save/load signs numbered 1-10.

Commands

To see a list of all the commands and description, type /sis help

Note: You will only see the commands you have permission for :)

Permissions:

sis.limit.<Number> - this allows players to save/load up to the number you specify. For example, sis.limit.10 allows players to save/load signs numbered 1-10.
sis.limit.* - Allows for unlimited number of signs
sis.command.reload - Reload the configuration
sis.command.view - Gives permission for the view command
sis.command.clear - Gives permission for the view command
sis.command.modify - Gives permission for the view command
sis.command.save - Gives permission for the view command
sis.command.load - Gives permission for the view command

I found out! The permissions actually want numbers. Instead of kits.save its kits.save.<number> and kits.load.<number> for v1.1!

I can't seem to get the permissions working. So, like anyone else would do, I de compiled the code, and found 2 permissions. kits.save and kits.load Still they don't work, any help would be amazing! No console errors, just gives players the error "You don't have permission to use this". http://prntscr.com/5atbh1

whats permission issues in version Sign Inventory Saver 1.1 ?

sis.command and sis.limit not work.

no update i need permissions version Sign Inventory Saver 1.1 , but last update not work in my server (1.5.2) if Sign Inventory Saver 1.1 work perfect.

I'm almost done with the update! If everything goes as planned, I should be able to release the update within this week. :)

Last call for any last minute suggestions! P.S. This update will break previous inventories due to the fact it loads/saves inventories differently. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I've added your suggestion! The only thing that would need reloading is if you decide to change the sign title while in-game (though this would break any previous signs that you've made).

I use this plugin and I like it a lot but the potion bug is horrible. I'm happy to see that bug be fixed.

A command to reload the configuration and kits would be fine.

Just letting everyone know, I'm rewriting this plugin. The old code was way too simple, so the new plugin will be a lot more easier to use! If you have any suggestions, please post them here. It's easier to implement the functions now, than later :)

THere are a bug with potions, sometimes when you load it the potions become infinite and you can throw lots of potion and they don't finish. Them appear on stacks of 200 or 300 in all the inventory. Could you fix?

Could you maybe add it so you can also use commands? Like /savekit 1 and /loadkit 1

The only way to use them is if you make them (it saves your own personal inventory). I don't see a reason for splitting the permission for making them and using them. :)

Thats already covered by the kits.save permission, in this instance create/save mean the same thing. If you can create but not save it makes the plugin void. If you can save it MUST have something to save, which has been created. So you you don't have the save perm you are not able to create to start with.

Or I could be missing something. As the dev has said its on his list to simplify permissions. I think the functionality you want is there already. As currently its uses a config value to specify the max global (per user) number of savers allowed.

It would help if you gave a bit more reasoning for the new perm it would become clearer for the dev.
