Seamless World Generator

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

NOTICE TO OTHER PROGRAMMERS: this project is in a rapid-development stage, so DO NOT FORK IT. If you want to fix a bug or make a new feature/methodology differing version, just send me a message we'll work something out.

This is a generator plugin to prevent those ugly edges that come from generating new chunks with a different engine than the existing chunks. Basically, it takes the existing chunk data, analyzes it, and uses it to create a seamless transition to the new chunk.

This project is still in development So far, I've built a generator which creates a seamless transition between existing chunks, which is good for patching up holes in worlds where you either a) used a generator you no longer have access to, b) pasted something into the world leaving a (recommended 1 to 2 chunk wide) space between your build and the existing blocks, or c) cut up the world and moved parts around to space it out. (this was the reason I made this)

Eventually, I want to make this into a wrapper around ANY other generator to automatically make seamless transitions between the creations of different generators. This would be fully compatible with the vanilla generators, meaning the next time they update that you just need to use this to prevent world-breaks.
