Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:

Version: 4.0.9

Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9.x!

This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.

It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.

It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.

ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.

Configuration Guide

Latest version should be on BukkitDev, or as a release on the Github page: https://github.com/lishid/Orebfuscator/releases

  • A command that generates the world cache for the existing chunks.

Version 4.0.9
  • Fixed crash when chunk section (16 x 16 x 16) has more than 127 different block types
  • Implemented different "transparent block" lists for Engine Mode 1 and Engine Mode 2. For now only difference is with lava block, for mode 1 it is non-transparent, for mode 2 it is transparent.
  • Implemented possibility to specify which blocks are transparent and not in the config file, sections: TransparentBlocks and NonTransparentBlocks.
  • Fix which may have solved java.util.ConcurrentModificationException
  • Fix for phantom blocks (visible after chunk reloaded) when player is digging straight line on the chunk border.
Version 4.0.7-beta
  • Corrected transparent block list. For example, lava blocks marked as transparent and therefore adjacent blocks are not obfuscating anymore
  • Improved performance of ProximityHider function
Version 4.0.5-alpha
  • Fixes teleport / join in the End causing client-side crashes.
  • Fixes failure to deobfuscate immediately on join.
Version 4.0.3-alpha
  • Updated to MC1.9.

Full release notes: In Github Release

Version 3.0.5
  • Updated to MC1.8.3.

Wow thanks for getting that out so quickly. I was just getting the compression error and came to see what's up. Thanks for the great plugin!

Your suggested fix did not work. The fix had to come from deeper in minecraft, so I renamed BlockTransparency internal accessors to BlockAccess and wrote a TileEntity updater there.

    Fixed the spawner issue too.

So Orebfuscator 2.0.2 now fixes the bad compression error, plus now tile entity data (like spawners) are sent after ProximityHider reveals it.

Lishid, I can confirm the boot problem is now fixed, thanks for taking the time to fix this! However, I am still having a problem with new chunks generated while this plugin is running. I am seeing strange lines between biomes and trees that are "cut in half". Can your plugin affect how the map is generated?

    Hey guys,

I just fixed the bad compression error!

It turns out to be a badly mapped byte array from Bukkit.

It is NOT caused by any engine modes or ProximityHider.

It is now fixed in version 2.0.1, early download is on the forum: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/38385/page-56#post-2061134

I have noticed with further testing that the map doesn't seem to develop correctly with your plugin running. I launched server without your plugiin and and a new map and the map looks fine. When I clear the map and regenerate with orbfuscator running, biomes look weird, trees are cut in half, there is a noticeable difference.

Thanks so much for looking into this and replying so fast! Top notch plugin dev as usual!

I am getting an error using your plugin and Bukkit 1.7.2 (#2943). I am using the new version of Orbfuscator that you linked below, and I have tried running the server with ONLY your plugin running. Players connecting are being booted once they start moving around with the following error:

Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.io.Exception: bad compressed data format

Note: I am not seeing ANY error messages in console, thanks for looking.
