Orebfuscator

Demonstration 1

Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:

For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4: Version 4.0.14

Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4!

This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.

It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.

It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.

ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.

    @Ekevoo: Go

    Yep, this has been reported since a long time ago, but I haven't found an efficient solution to it. It only happen on the rare occasion that a chunk is requested to be loaded while the next chunk isn't even loaded. This causes the chunk to be half exposed and not deobfuscated properly.

    @DonkeyTeeth2013: Go

    I basically re-write the packet that tells the clients what each block is, replacing certain blocks with others. This ensures that the server still has the original blocks untouched.

    How did you manage to change certain blocks into other blocks ONLY for the client?

    I found an apparent bug, it only happens in that particular wall (there are other straight walls on chunk border in the same world): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3521945/Minecraft/2013-12-24_11.31.21.png

    @Dubi01: Go

    I'll check it out.

    @Bobcat00: Go

    That has been there for quite a while. I still haven't figured it out since I can't reproduce it 100% so as to test code changes against it...

    It appears that after going through a Multiverse portal between two overworlds, that ProximityHider gets stuck and chests, etc, are shown as stone all the time. Not a big deal, but maybe it could be fixed?

    @TheBoomer: Go

    ProticolLib is not a dependency as long as you don't use NoLagg.

  • Avatar of TheBoomer TheBoomer Dec 21, 2013 at 14:05 UTC - 0 likes

    The most important plugin on my server for 2 years, never open to the public without it. :) Im looking forward to finally opening my 1.7 server after a total clean wipe and rebuild for the first time.

    Some time a while back you added a dependancy on ProtocolLib but that was only for certain circumstances, which I recall did not apply to me at the time, but now I dont recall what that was.

    Can you update this main page with a why/where/when for needing protocollib and not needing it, please, rather than just the link. Or "Absolutely need to install:" text.

    Thank you very much.
