Here are the frequently asked questions listed one after the other. If something is asked more than twice, it will most likely end up here.
FAQ: Why not multiple jar files?
The answer consists of many arguments on my sides and factual reasons as well. You can read all of them here.
FAQ: I get "The main thread failed to respond"?
First of all, this is a warning, not an error. Second, it is a reporting feature in NoLagg that is used to debug server crashes and freezes. Please don't report the error as an issue for NoLagg unless the error clearly reports it is a NoLagg-caused problem. This error can also be caused by fairly common events, these include:
- Someone editing a big chunk of a world, for example, using Worldedit
- Someone performing a global save or world load/create
- Someone causing an endless amount of item spawns (by breaking a block with a torch, etc...)
- General reason, such as by a plugin ending stuck
- The main thread has crashed and is stuck sleeping, look for the error above it
FAQ: What are the optimal settings?
See the main page and visit all the component pages to see what the settings do and what is recommended for who. Please don't ask questions such as 'how much for high performance CPU' or 'what if I have a lot of RAM', all of those questions are answered on those pages. If they are not, however, you can ask it and I will add it to the page. Questions that have been answered there will (usually) be ignored.
FAQ: Why BKCommonLib? Version without it?
I had to put all of the native related conversions into BKCommonLib because I required countless of reflection related utility functions in all of my plugins. To end the amount of duplicate code and to make it easier for those interested in the code, I separated all of that into the BKCommonLib library. This library can be used by other plugins, too, allowing for safer and more advanced plugins to be developed.
FAQ: What are the permissions
