McftGuard
This plugin helps prevent against lava and water spam in specified worlds. Players are still able to place unlimited lava and water, though it will only be static the worlds you specify. This allows you to easily roll back their actions using HawkEye or another block logging plugin. McftGuard provides special support for both HawkEye and LogBlock. McftGuard will also send notices to staff members informing users that the player has been placing excessive lava or water.

It's meant for people who want their players to be able to place liquids, but still be able to roll them back easily. This plugin makes all liquids static, meaning they do not flow - which allows for rolling back with a grief plugin to be easy. You're saying that the best way to prevent people from placing liquids is to block it - but this allows users to still place liquids without blocking them.

Posted Mar 2, 2012I don't get it. Why not use a land claim plugin instead just to ensure players aren't dumping water or lava in somebody's house? It sucks that we can't use them in reasonable situations like watering the crops or making an incenerator or monster moat without having to contact an admin first and having them come and do it because we're not allowed to place, or because it won't spread.
Plus, now admins have to come and investigate when somebody's using a lot of water somewhere. If players were blocked from griefing with water and lava, then admins wouldn't have to come and spend their time looking.
